Plenty of clubs interested in taking Buur on loan including Middlesbrough, Brentford and teams in Holland and Belgium

Bad news for Wolves recent signing from Villa, the keeper Sarkic. He has picked up a hamstring injury on his loan at Shrewsbury and is likely to be out until the new year

Good news if Brentford want Buur. They tend to do their research on players. Would be a good place for him to go on loan.

What bollox? It was a discussion about system change, and the obvious change would be a back three going to a back four, on a forum of all places!!!

As far as I recall we all agreed that it won't be changing any time soon.

Very smart comment, but how long is "any time soon". A bit like Trump stating that the virus will go away soon.

Are you telling me the virus isn't done now?!?!?!? Fake news

Listening to Scott Parker on Sky last night, Id say the poor chap is well out of his depth. Not heard such a load of incoherent twaddle in a long time. Think, a more articulate Paul Lambert.

Seems like he is taking his mission to spread the virus to a new level now

As for us changing from a back 3 to a back 4 there is nothing obvious about it all which is why it is fairly described as bollox. Then to say but not for a year is just laughable really

Like many good players, he looks unlikely to make it as a manager. Don’t see him lasting much longer at Fulham but hopefully he will still be there for the weekend

A number of media outlets reporting that Wolves are still pursuing Pepe who plays for Gremio in Brazil. One offer has been turned down but it’s expected Wolves will try again before the deadline

posted on 2/10/20

It seems that Pepe is a left winger.
Do we need another ?
Midfielder would be my priority.

This makes no sense at all . So if we were to change our system at some point you are saying a back four wouldn't be one of the systems we would likely change to??? A back two maybe then? .

Your arrogance is a shining light on this forum, please never stop

Rumours of Vinagre going to Olympiakos today

And Nuno in his press conference has said

Nuno: Not anticipating anymore transfer business, but anything can happen.

I will be glad when it's closed

I really don't get why people are so wedded to the back three or why they are so adamant Nuno would never change it. Nuno predominantly played with a back 4 previously in his managerial career, using the back 3 infrequently as a change up.

I think it is unlikely to change this season due to personnel and lack of preseason, but to pretend it will never change is a bit naive and myopic.

Worse than that, to discuss changes and then mock and laugh at any suggestion of a change they don't like. It's a strange world.

90% DONE DEAL. Rúben Vinagre is set to join #Olympiacos from #Wolves on loan with an option to buy clause. Next 24h in Athens to sign his contract

posted on 2/10/20

The left-back issue is almost set for @olympiacosfc. Greek champions agreed on terms with @Wolves for Ruben Vinagre. The 21-year player will be soon in Athens to finalize his transfer. This will be a loan with a buyout option. No more Yuri Ribeiro and Mateus Reis. #

In Greece they are convinced

I hope we do have players coming in, as this hasn't been a good window so far. We look weaker than last season.

Rumours of a few big bids for Jimenez today too. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted out at the moment, as we haven't shown a great deal of ambition this window (bar possibly the Semedo transfer). Lost two key players and mostly signed kids who no one knows if they are ready.

posted on 2/10/20

Yeah the last two summer windows haven't shown an immediate ambition to crack the top six to me. The problem with that is how long do our best players ride it out waiting for potential to become proven?

Just supposing we finish tenth this term, where does that leave the likes of Neves and Jimenez among others?

posted on 2/10/20

Sounds like we might be signing Rayan Aït-Nouri to replace Vinagre.

Rayan Aït-Nouri has been linked with a few big clubs, so that would hopefully be an upgrade.

Ruben Vinagre is set to leave Wolves, looks like he's off to Olympiakos.

I'm told Wolves will sign French left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, aged 19, from Angers to replace Vinagre in the squad. Loan deal with an option to buy #WWFC

posted on 2/10/20

Vinagre was supposed to be an up and coming.
This new bloke, if it happens, seems to be another.

We could do with 2/3 proven players not gambles.
