PA looks like it’s going down to the wire, same with NV. Could be recounts there which could last weeks to complete.

A recount would take a few days, just as long as the first count

There's no proof that democrats vote more per post. There's no indication that a supreme court judge will not uphold the democratic process. If the votes are legal they are legal
There's no historic proof of fraud in US elections

------------------------------------------------

It's a known fact in the US that democrats traditionally send in more mail in ballots than republicans do. That's in any election. Both still vote in person on the day too. But any election sees a higher percentage of democrats, voting absentee/by mail, than republicans doing the same. Voting on the day numbers correspond. Every election, of all republican votes. The percentage of cast in person, is always higher than the percentage of total democrat votes that were cast in person. Nothing to do with number of votes in the whole election, just how the two party's way of doing things is and has been for years.

You're right about there being no historic proof of major fraud in election terms.

The court is a whole other issue. Trump now has it stacked with a 6-3 majority in his favour. He personally appointed 3 of them. In THEORY the Supreme Court should throw his cases out. But with an administration this crooked and 1/3 of the supreme court personally installed by Trump. On top of 70 federal appeals court judges, personally installed by Trump. Don't be so sure that the courts will do the right thing here. The federalists society didn't spend 250 million dollars, installing hand picked (vetted to their agenda) judges, for nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its proven that there is no difference in numbers of voting per post. People keep saying that, its nonsense.

That article doesn't show what you claim it shows. It talks about whether one party benefits more from mail votes in states that have switched to all mail votes. The original claim is that democrats are more likely to vote by mail when they have the option of both - which they do.

There’s a lot of noise from the Trump campaign at the moment but, in amongst it all, a few more moderate voices are making some coherent points:

All starting to feel a little suspicious this. The longer it goes on the more I think Trump will still win it. Seems a little bizarre a few important states have basically ground to a halt. And Nevada hasn't added a single vote for 30 odd hours.

You can certainly believe that Trump is trying everything. But how long this count takes won't be what decides it. Will come down to how many votes Trump, a federalist lawyer army and a tonne of cash from unknown sources, can get the Supreme Court to throw out. There's already a fraction which are the subject of a previous ruling, left open to appeal. A ruling given on a 4-4 split, before Trump added his 3rd and latest judge Amy Coney-Barrett. She will be there to hear the appeal.

I think in Nevada, they haven't counted non stop. They went home for sleep and came back to continue in some of the counties.

It is worrying. Say what you like about Trump’s intelligence, but I don’t think he’d pursue something like this if he felt he had no chance of winning.

It really was quite surreal watching the BBC coverage yesterday. The amount of times the BBC had to say things like "baseless claims" or "without evidence" was amazing and, to a Trump sympathiser, it really would have sounded like open bias. But this is the world he's created for himself: if you say the things he said yesterday, you can't seriously expect news outlets to report it as a legitimate claim, so they're going to have to couch their reporting in language that seems to be biased against you.

I get that people like(d) him because he's "not like other politicians", but one thing politicians are generally good at is hedging their language, thinking about how they might be interpreted and how it might come back to haunt them - in short, being careful. He just rambles and comes out with stuff openly, thus leaving himself vulnerable to being proven wrong.

UK elections 2015, Brexit, US 2016 and now US 2020. That's four I can remember where they've been way off recently.

I heard one guy basically saying yesterday that they underestimated how many people won't admit to voting Trump. Always seems to be the same mistakes they make.
