Possibly, and if they'd removed him from duty then I'd have no issue with that - up to them to manage their staff.

Absolutely wrong if any clubs have any influence of who officiates matches. This definitely needs looking into, if somehow Liverpool have interefered in any way. Very serious if so.

Not for Liverpool though to decide whether he has had howlers though. There should be zero influence from clubs for the integrity of the game. Spurs have been hard-done by refs in the past, but you don`t see the club trying to influence who should officiate in matches.

I am amazed that Liverpool fans are trying to argue this point that because an official has had a howler, he cannot officiate their games because that howler was against their club?
What about then the opposition were ripped off by the officials playing against Liverpool, and there are plenty of cases even there is a case for Leicester at Anfield and the award of that last minute pen?
You don't hear them bring up the slogan Liverpool trying to get rid off corrupt refs when it suits them
Should Michael Oliver never officiate Spurs games then as he had cost us games?
I am amazed Michael Oliverpool is still allowed to officiate after all the clear errors and bias he shows. And what about that mug who gave Salahdive another gifted penalty against WHU after his latest dive.
It's how big clubs operate lads. We're allowed to tap up players too, repeatedly.

Those are opinionated versions of incidents and each sets of fans will view them differently.
Proves nothing as even the so called best ref in the league, Michael Oliver has made some big howlers in his time, and yet he is not picked out?
Every ref has moments but it should not be a reason or a club to single out the ref and make his career difficult because of a decision which the club didn;t like?
I often feel uncomfortable shiiiiting on the officials/VAR as usually they get blamed for implementing vague and illogical rules.
As someone who was very pro VAR, all it has done is highlighted the flaws in the game. Officials get hard done by
