If Spurs lost Kane to a season ending ridiculously high double footed scissor horror tackle and the culprit didnt even get sent off cause it happened seconds after another player was offside and the VAR ref didnt know the rules and didnt check the foul... im sure Spurs and their fans wouldnt say a word or demand answers.

I have never seen such a big deal made out of any incorrect decision as was made over Van Dijk. And there have been much worse refereeing performances in the history of football.

I really don’t care enough to debate the ins and outs, especially as I don’t agree with the decision. Yet it is well documented the reasons why officials are removed for games; the exact specific location of an official doesn’t really change the theory.

The issue wasn’t with VAR though. I don’t get why people struggle to grasp this concept.

never blamed VAR as in the technology or system, but the ref using it didnt know the rules admitted as much yet still allowed to be involved with prem games...

Yet this is Liverpools fault for asking them to explain some of their decisions in the derby?

And was due to be the VAR again so soon involving Liverpool. Madness and rightfully removed, shouldn't have even been put in that position in the first place.. Shouldnt even still be reffing in the prem atm but thats another debate.

Anyway, hes removed they came to the correct decision in the end for w.e reason and everyones happy, apart from the press and Morespurs Billy and Sandy ofc
