J99, it was very wet, very windy and we're still bedding in 3 players. Meh performance but decent result.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
m8. we were playing Brighton not City or Chelsea or Man Utd.
We were out played and very lucky. I just don't see the green shoots.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Potter is a top class manager. Brighton are a very good team with strong aerial threat. We defended well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why shouldn't we have a top class manager? Surly thats what Arteta has been doing for more than 2 years? Building something?

That's the problem, when you get pressed like that, players like Auba offer nothing as an outlet.
All our front players lack physicality
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool manage to do it. So do City. Why can't we?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't be a serious question
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not? Do you remember where Liverpool were before Klopp joined them. Or have you been sucked into the lowering expectation lark after we spent more than EVERY other club?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool didn't have Mane or Salah before Klopp joined them you wannkstain.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And where would they be if Liverpool were camped 10 yards away from their own goal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where would they be if they had Auba and Ødegaard? Nevermind our MF.
You're comparing apples to oranges. Liverpool & City do it because they have better players than us. Much better players.
We'll have to take that point considering how awful we were, but we have so much work to do. I don't know if the players just didn't fancy it because of the conditions, but too many subpar performances. I don't know what the tactics were either. Why did we keep going long? They won the ball back off us every time and then started to attack us. Struggled to deal with their movement and runners.
Gabriel and White were fantastic. Everyone else was average at best.

We haven't created enough. They won most of the challenges. Our midfield was inferior to them.

The season that is 7 games old? Some Arsenal fans are embarrassing man. Making out a point against Brighton to be a good result.
The only reason it was a good result is because they absolutely battered us and should have won comfortably

Ask you the same question
Xhaka and Partey is still bar the best option we have in MF.
Lokongo should be playing for the under 23s.
Probably have to start Elneny

No . I am comparing where we are compared to Brighton who finished 16th last season. 20 points behind us playing us of the park.
Salah and Mane were not considered true world class players before they joined Liverpool. A good manager integrated them into a great system that has developed them into what they are now.

Feel like I watch a different game, Sambi moves the ball well just doesn't quite have that stature yet. Not every u21 player can be Fabregas
Brighton are a better team than given credit for. Potter is also an excellent manager, I actually think he's in the top 5 best managers in the division.
Don't get me wrong, the performance from the players and manager wasn't good enough, but Brighton are no pushovers.
Anyone thinking this was going to be a walk in the park is lying to themselves.
