Fingers crossed..... I like your enthusiasm. Like you said I’m not sure winning 26 trophies with some of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world is really relevant when you manage a side containing the likes of Sissoko, Sanchez and Davies
Jose needs to realize he cannot re-invent this Spurs side is Chelsea/ Inter/ RM sides of the past..... we simply dont have the players.
He needs to adjust his philosophy not because he’s wrong but because we have a lop sided squad and he needs to play to our best players strengths

I would take it for this season, but then be crystal clear that he has to start playing a much better brand of football
We’ve been here extremely lucky in our cup opponents. Only played 2 good teams and we lost to one of those in Everton.
Fingers crossed as the Europa was the competition I wanted to win the most at the start of the season.

He reinvented that Inter side by selling their best player Ibrahimovich and pulling Barca’s pants down in the process - a year later they were European champions.
Would our fans accept the sale of Kane to try and do the same?

I feel it's kind of like employing Wenger to get a team into the top 4. Had a great record of it for ages with Arsenal and then things went south and he wasn't able to do it anymore. We're doing the same by pinning hopes on Mourinho with a trophy. He could win a trophy but he sure doesn't guarantee it, and let's face it, it's going to be a big task to beat this City side in a final, for any manager.

The thing with Jose is he won’t belittle something like the league cup either - other than his first season Poch did, and he had complete disdain for the Europa.
The reality is we are not good enough to win the league but with the right draws are good enough to win a cup - heck the worst Arsenal side I have ever seen won the FA cup last year.
We’ve been here extremely lucky in our cup opponents. Only played 2 good teams and we lost to one of those in Everton.

Yep.
People used to say this crap about us, as if we didn't have the easiest route imaginable to the ropey final that year. And we still almost managed to balls it up by trying to hang on to 1 goal leads against championship level teams.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed watching us under Redknapp, won nothing. Enjoyed 2016-2018 Poch years immensely, won nothing
I’m prepared to hate watching us just this one year to get a trophy, personally
I don’t want to see Kane go his entire Spurs career without a trophy - even if it’s a fluke league cup
Let me say this- I’m totally with the notion that it’s not all about silverware. If it was, nobody would support anyone but the top 3 or 4 teams. And they do in their millions. And football is an entertainment let’s not forget, I’m just saying it’s been so long for a club our size without a trophy, to get the monkey off the clubs back, a year or 2 of crap football is a price worth paying ..??

You could be right, but in doing so did Poch help our chances of doing better in the league and getting top 4? We never had the squad depth under Poch to perform over multiple competitions anyway. Top 4 and a domestic cup seemed the best we could hope for and we almost came slightly short in obtaining a cup, partly due to Poch, partly due to the personnel.

That's where the chairman has to do his part. Get the manager in who will play the entertaining football but then also make sure you support him enough so that he can win trophies.
In any case, it's not just about one style leading to more trophies than another. We also won trophies under Ramos and Graham while we were doing crap in the league, which makes sense cause domestic trophies can then become your main objective as you have nothing else.
