Beginning of the end for football, and certainly my interest in it, if this goes ahead.

I agree Dave. Everything that football has meant to me in my 60 plus years, has been about fair competition, plus promotion and relegation. This move is simply milking the cash cow that is football.
I for one will not watch or pay to watch a second of it if it happens.

I think this is where Scottish football will benefit in the long run. Stick to the basics, to why match going fans love football in the first place. People will stop watching the sterile TV show that the super league would become and seek genuine football experiences, which Scottish football can certainly provide. I mean compare actually going to a local derby against watching any so called big match on TV. I think the passion in Scottish football has caused a bit of envy in the English game in recent years. Money can't buy it. It tends to go the other way. Let's not lose sight of what football's actually about and we will be fine.

Been said number of times by many posters already tonight on here. I think fans opinion is strongly against this.
We all know the reason for 50% EPL and 50% rest.
EPL is dominated by clubs owned by billionaire foreigners.
Many with dodgy histories & making a fortune in impoverished countries.
I’m pretty much at the stage already where my interest in Europe ends whenever my own team is summarily dismissed; as early as that may be. I’ve never really been one for watching games just for the sake of it or because they were two “big” clubs either so to me it’s no real loss.
It’s all just symptomatic of the way the game is going and has been for decades. Let’s not forget Scottish clubs chasing the money on tv deals either which turned into dust through greed. And yes I know that we, Rangers and I think Aberdeen voted against it.
The EPL was just a money maker as was the formation of our league split.
I’ll support my team as long as they ply their trade in our leagues in our country along with any European ventures that arise from that. The minute they go further I’ll spend my money and time elsewhere.

This!
It's like Heed trying to decide which corrupt fckrs to vote for.
I don't want to watch Thistle v Dundee just because there's a couple of boys I know playing. I will watch it if it comes about to admire the standard of play but it will quickly go stale.
Nothing has held back the inexorable pursuit of more money so I don't know why anyone might be surprised? And, if we don't aspire to join that elite then what is the point playing in a two horse league with declining standards, plastic pitches, scheite TV coverage, refs and hammer throwers?
If you are into golf you don't pay Sky to watch the British Amateur Open - you want to watch the majors and big tournaments with the best players in attendance.
In any case, it doesn't matter what we watch - it will be determined by global audience subscription.
If it goes ahead I'll be illegally streaming any games I can be ersed watching from it.. no chance I'm paying.
Just cancelled my Sky Sports contract a couple of hours ago.. saving myself £25 a month. Most games on it are p¡sh. If there's ever a game between twp of the top teams I'll just find a stream for it now.

Reckon in my winter years I'll take Option B.
Apart from watching Celtic, go and pay to watch a dozen and more
lower league teams in travelling distance. For years I watched
Dumbarton, Clydebank, Morton etc when Celtic didn't have a match.
Great days out with my bros & mates.
Could no longer justify paying £80 a month for TV.. most of our I don't even watch too.
BT Sport is good enough for me, CL football and UFC 👌
Matt the UFC as I tend to record it these days and watch it in the morning instead of staying up until 4am 😂
My sky box broke (it was old) while waiting on engineer getting q in I noticed how little I missed it. Ended up telling them not to bother and cancel.
Only time I see Sky is in a pub.
Soon I probably will watch away games in pubs hopefully. Reminds me I need to cancel Premier too.
I love being at neutral games.
You see and sense and hear more.
When you watch you own team you go all fvkin Viking & swivel eyed.

It's also fun going in the opposing team's end when you can't get a ticket for your team's end. Usually just realise that all teams' fans moan about their team being shiiite just like your own fans do.

First time I watched anything on Sky it was when I lived with my folks. It lasted a couple of years and it got cancelled because the novelty had worn off and we realised it was keich.
Had Sky one more time and same story. No chance I’ll get it again.
Everyone is different tbf. I hate my mates asking me to go to the pub to watch a game. If I want to watch a game I want to watch it and not be interrupted every 8 seconds by drink, chat, going to the bar, loo, constantly getting out the way of guys carrying more drink. Gets to FT and I've no idea who played better and missed half the goals anyway. Pub is for drink and chat.
I pay for it so the missus doesn't moan and for the reliability and quality of the platforms.
