Let them go form their new league, outside of Fifa, don't let the teams into the domestic league structure if they're in the super league, don't let players play for their countries if they're in a super league team. Don't recognise the competition in any way so it is essentially "not football". Then watch the competition and the clubs crumble. Maybe then we can get back to a genuinely interesting continental football format. The "big teams" think they make the CL, but it would be so much more interesting without them.

Smart man
Uefa playing hardball by the sounds of it
Part of me wants to see it happen, not because I want to see some euro super league....but to see it fail, and to see clubs like Man Utd and Real Madrid being brought back down to earth with a bump
I think it would fail because it would be difficult for them to create an atmosphere, we've seen this season that without it games can become unwatchable.
Away fans will dwindle for midweek European games going to the same cities year after year until they are almost existent.
It's selling out the foundations of these clubs for a few quid in Asia and North America.

Change the structure of the CL while you're at it. There are 55 countries in uefa. Let's say we stick with 8 groups of 4 for a 32 team group stage - winners of the league in the top 19 nations automatically qualify. Winners of the league in the other 36 nations play two rounds of playoffs to take us up to 28. The 8 top performing nations over the last 2-3 years get their second place teams into a separate playoff round to bring us up to the 32. No seeding or keeping teams from the same nation apart in the groups, top 2 from each group go through to the knockouts, no seeding.
There we go, took me 30 seconds to come up with a format more interesting than the current CL or this proposed "super league".
Uefa already speaking with lawyers about banning all players from the Super League 12 from playing at the Euros
Could mean no Robertson, Tierney or McTominay for Scotland
Would decimate some other national teams aswell

Most likely just posturing, but I think this would be a bad move. It punishes players, who almost certainly weren't consulted, and national teams, and means the 12 clubs gets their players back fresh from a summer rest. Better move would be to ban the clubs from Europe next season. Hell, boot them out this season too and just hand the CL to PSG and let Villareal and Roma play off for the EL.

Aye reports that Ed Woodward addressed the Man Utd players today and got a mouthful of abuse from loads of them. Raging that they hadn't been consulted and for throwing Solksjaer (sp) under a bus yesterday post-match.
