Really hope UEFA follow through on banning players from the 12 clubs in this year's Euros.

Scotland facing an England team with no;

D Henderson,
Walker,
Alexander-Arnold,
Maguire,
Chilwell,
Stones,
Trippier,
Dier,
Henderson,
Shaw,
Foden,
Mount,
Rashford,
Sterling,
Kane,
Abraham.

If you have all those clubs there will be nothing super about it.

teams like spurs and arsenal are there to be daftied.

i wont lie, it doesnt interest me at all and i find it hugely disappointing. feel the same when celtic and rangers are linked to the prem, we are a scottish club so our place is here.

f... them, i wont be paying to watch them on what i assume will be a third party channel.

"If UEFA/FIFA ban players who participate in playing in their competitions Scotland will lose 3 of its best players KT, Robertson and McTominay, shambles of an idea, that will probably still happen."

they wont ban players from international tournaments.

they say they will, but they won't.

they should though.

a glorified chinese super league which players will flock to for cash.

They might just have done what they have been so close to doing for many years, finally scunnered the fans of these clubs enough to chuck it.

Just how many fans will travel every week for these games and the final no doubt played in UAE or China.

Dunno, sounds like a good day out.

Seriously though, I think your first point covers it. It has been coming for years. Their contempt for the countries outwith the big 5 is well known and UEFA were happy to go along with that.

Feck them. Let them go. Football won`t die because they do this. Might change significantly, depending on where the money goes, but they won`t be getting any of mine. I won`t be watching.

See, to me that is like the Highland league champions chucking the lowland playoff cos they don’t want to enter senior football cos they can’t afford the bus. We just want to play the same old teams year after year and have no competitive ambition.

You can't blame them off they can't afford to play national League football.

It's not just the club but the players too. All semi-pro and with Brora the other year it was a case that if they won promotion most of the team would've had to quit as they wouldn't be able to take the personal financial hit of losing out on their day jobs.

Let’s face it the clubs are fed up with the corrupt governing bodies pocketing whatever cash they want legally or otherwise yet dragging their heels on technology, racism and other things. Beholden to big clubs and strong associations and letting the excuse of national borders constrain the growth of the game.

There is no reason Scotland can’t have clubs the size of the breakaways except the notional border.

And wtf is Boris getting involved in it instead of focussing on the day job. DRoss on the tv parroting his master anaw.

I know the reasons and don’t deny them but Celtic and Rangers will sound just like them if we come out with attitudes like jfk says ‘meh wur a Scottish club and just like playing Livi on plastic and booting fck out each other’ - to the super league we sound like Brora and they’ll pass on an invite.

If only it was about morals, but as ever it’s just about money. It’s financiers that have made the proposals, and clubs are more concerned by the effect covid has had on their income than anything else.

It’s ironic that the EPL and Sky are front abs centre moaning about it.

Couldn't have got the timing of the announcement more right if they tried.......24 hours before UEFA have their grand announcement of the revamped Champions League from 2024(?)

to be fair, f.. uefa as well.

for years they have wanted something similar for the champions league, available to an elite few.

no sympathy for them or the premiership.

Quite - if those financiers had approached UEFA about it they'd be falling over themselves to stick the snouts deep into the filthy lucre.

Who will the other 3 clubs be? Bayern and the Germans are >50% fan owned, and PSG seem fairly tight with uefa.
