And to be honest Wilko. You could level the same comments at spurs. If it's only about trophies, what's the point in them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would also say the same thing about my team, Leeds! It's not all about winning trophies, it's about really believing that you can, which doesn't happen often enough in "modern times". I agree that English football is heading down the Scottish road, where fewer clubs win trophies and the best they can hope for is a Cup Final appearance.

I’d welcome one of the domestic cups being changed to some kind of British Cup or something, would make for some good ties.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye. I'd agree.
I think they tried it further down the leagues"

They had that once, I remember being at Burnley in the 70's with the Celtic fans,(work mate Scottish Celtic!)and they wreched the feckin stadium!..
Anglo Scottish Cup I think it was known as!..
Stretcher bearers came in front of the Celtic fans to help a Burnley fan, left him there and carted one of the bearers off, bottle to head wasn't very helpfull!.
It got knocked oh the head after or because of that game!..
Probably Boris's idea, get it tae f**k.
Germany, I remember as a 13 year old being in the centre of Leeds with my Mum in spring 1970, during the school holidays. I can still remember the hordes of men dressed in green and white hoop shirts speaking this foreign language. In my case, they were most polite, but I couldn't understand a bloody word they said!

Pah the English are just as bad, spent 15 mins trying to get a roll n sausage in Bournemouth whilst the lassie behind the counter kept pointing at sausage rolls. Telling her that baps are 2 of what she has not rolls

They just don't get it, lex.
EPL offers Celtic & Rangers £100m golden hello then £150m a year then they are dropping their drawers, guaranteed!
Then we can all decide if we are throwing sharks or getting on board.

I'm against it, but if there's a real opportunity Celtic and Rangers will jump at it.

Not sure what happened, just saw people rushing in his direction!..

Not interested in enhancing the English league and I don't think the likes of Fulham and West Brom would be up for it. We're a Scottish team.

Which counteracts the point Hector was making.
We're teams that play in Scotland but to say we're Scottish teams while Celtic have an Irish identity and Rangers a British one misses the point
i'd rather we play in our own league.
i think its part of our charm, or lack of it.
look at man city, i used to think they had greats fans but money changes teams.

Man City are a joke club. I'm embarrassed for their fans having to support the husk of a club they have.
I can't say i have any memories of Maine Road City really so my low opinion of their fans has only got lower.
It felt like the money at Chelsea gave them more of a competitive edge without ruining the club culture. I don't think it's been the same at City.
Out of the big 6 teams they are the one i'm least enthusiastic about watching. Schit fans and a style of football while impressive i find sleep inducing.
