Are we supposed to accept that tonight times for a football club which previously had decades of success is a rationale or excuse for mindless mob thuggery?
Not really and I don’t care whether it’s Rangers or anyone else. It just is not an excuse. As for it affecting the poor supporters to that degree? I’d have to say they were at best unhinged if they allowed what essentially is a hobby to affect them like that.
Unhinged is a good word btw.
I’m quite prepared to accept it was drink and bravado among crowds with someone being heard to have said something offensive. I had mates and colleagues attend yesterday and whilst I wish it was us instead I was genuinely happy for them. It ended with me thinking just get the fwck out of there for their own sakes.
There is of course the chance that one or two of them started it mind

Safely sat having a quiet couple of drinks with Mrs Ginger in the rare sunshine and reading the sheer joy of the 4 work colleagues I’d given our tickets to see their side win their first ever FA cup.
Imagine that. 10,000 of them winning their first FA cup in their entire history and not a pinch thrown as far as we know.

You have but you haven’t acknowledge the disproportionately numbers and incidents involved. The eyes of millions were on yesterday because of the heightened tensions and dare I say previous examples involving Rangers supporters. There was a reluctant acceptance it would kick off again and businesses closed shop accordingly. There’s even the train of though in delaying the opening up by a week because of yesterday. No idea if true or not.
Essentially Scotland sat back expecting the usual and they weren’t disappointed.

I agree with most of what you just said
I expected it to happen also....only place we differ is down to the fact that it was Rangers fans
I didn’t expect it to happen, just because it was Rangers fans.
I expected it to happen, because it was going to be a large number of drunk people, many of whom that have a history of causing problems at their local pubs or when drinking previously, gathering in the city centre......with the fact they are Rangers fans the only reason they were congregating
If you expected it due to large numbers of drunk people then why did it never happen when Celtic were celebrating all the trebles?
Treble Treble took place the same day as the Rugby European final at Celtic Park. Town was a great buzz. Not an ounce of trouble
Anyways. It’s done now.
Celtic supporters will be indignant and self righteous. Rangers supporters won’t give a fwck other than the ones with sore faces.
League was over months ago in reality.
My only concern is it gives more fuel to the SNP prohibition orders about to be released any time soon.

Narrative changed deon here too with that Hancock’s continued buffoonery.
Idiot claimed we were at a crisis point but at the same time there was every confidence the vaccines worked against the variants from India along with the “stunning” revelation that those in hospital being treated for it were in the vast majority those who had been offered the vaccine but didn’t take it up.
Then poured ice cold water on international travel by stating against government guidelines that amber countries could not be visited for holidays.
There is utter mayhem and total confusion down here. The man is a power crazed maniac who thinks his word is law.

I’m quite prepared to accept it was drink and bravado among crowds with someone being heard to have said something offensive. In that sense they need to grow the fwck up because it will ruin gatherings in future and eventually the pathetic forces of law and order will be forced to step in heavy handed.
I had mates and colleagues attend yesterday and whilst I wish it was us instead I was genuinely happy for them. It ended with me thinking just get the fwck out of there for their own sakes.
There is of course the chance that one or two of them started it mind

Knew you'd be involved
Pfft
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Safely sat having a quiet couple of drinks with Mrs Ginger in the rare sunshine and reading the sheer joy of the 4 work colleagues I’d given our tickets to see their side win their first ever FA cup.
Imagine that. 10,000 of them winning their first FA cup in their entire history and not a pinch thrown as far as we know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What a game. OK the actual game wasn't the best but the goal, the noise of the fans including at the disallowed goal.
Really made the occasion. Can't wait to get back to it. I'm looking forward to Silverstone in July. Crowds, sunshine, a few drinks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ll wager any man here and now that no Scottish club will have more than 10,000 supporters at a game this calendar year.

Hmmm
Are we supposed to accept that tonight times for a football club which previously had decades of success is a rationale or excuse for mindless mob thuggery?
Not really and I don’t care whether it’s Rangers or anyone else. It just is not an excuse. As for it affecting the poor supporters to that degree? I’d have to say they were at best unhinged if they allowed what essentially is a hobby to affect them like that.
Unhinged is a good word btw.

Didn’t say that, in any way, shape or form
“I’m quite prepared to accept it was drink and bravado among crowds with someone being heard to have said something offensive. Basically what I’ve been arguing to be honest
Crowds + drink + idiots usually leads to trouble
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have but you haven’t acknowledge the disproportionately numbers and incidents involved.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with most of what you just said
I expected it to happen also....only place we differ is down to the fact that it was Rangers fans

And they’ll keep on shifting.
