You're spot on there Sandy. You'll never win anything with Kane leading the line up front.
Selfish, overrated, flat track bully. Spurs need the money as well, anything over £60 million is good business for a player of his age with the injury problems he has.
It's a bad time for a massive transfer, for sellers, buyers and players. The richest clubs that would obviously love to sign him have substantially reduced revenues, and have their own preoccupations - Manchester United have a reduced budget and greater weaknesses than CF, Real Madrid and Barcelona are heavily in debt. I'd be looking to the clubs that aren't constrained by the need to break even as most likely candidates. Unfortunately for you, Sandy, only one of those is abroad.
BTW you should make up your mind whether he's worthy of a world record fee in the midst of a catastrophic recession for the industry or whether he's a big game bottler you'll happily be rid of.
With the above outlined criteria, the only realistic option would be to sell to PSG.
And bearing in mind FFP, they would probably need to sell Mbappe if he wants to leave, and to get a decent fee for him they'd have to sell to either Utd, City or Chelsea themselves.

I think a world record fee is unrealistic. He's not as valuable (at his age) as a Neymar coming into his prime years, and on top of that the footballing economy is looking very different right now. Not only due to the hopefully temporary way the pandemic has drastically cut revenues to the point that clubs are mostly making losses over the two financial years, but also the signs that the long term, continual growth of the football market, which fuelled speculation on expensive transfers, was already levelling off before the pandemic. The new PL TV deal failed to grow on the last one; sponsorship deals are coming in at slightly lower levels than the previous ones.
All that says to me that the market valuation of Kane would be substantially lower than you suggest. Perhaps even half the price. But I still think at £100m he'd probably be out of financial reach of most clubs, because that's a much bigger investment today than it was two years ago.
#thfc have never openly placed a price tag on Kane or admitted he has one, but it is widely accepted that a figure in excess of £150m would be required to even open negotiations towards a higher fee [@AlasdairGold]

I think it would be up to Spurs what price they put on his head, not the price that clubs could afford. That would be their problem not Spurs if they cannot meet the asking price. Spurs hold all the cards.
If this is true, then out of respect I think that we should oblige. The guy has been a great servant to the club and the fact is that we have failed him more than he has failed us. We just need to make sure that the money that we get for him is spent in a meaningful way that will strengthen the team. Otherwise we'll start to decline in a very bad way!
I can see us replacing him with Ings which will probably work well until he gets a bad injury so then it is probably a question of either bringing someone else through or buying another striker. That would be 50/60m gone.
Then we need to bolster the defence for sure. Big money needs to be spent on a centre back for sure and that would be another 50 million.
Could that replace the goals and brilliance that he brings to the team? I am not so sure.
I really wish that we had Jose or Pochettino to lead a rebuild.

Not sure I quite go along with Spurs have failed him more than he has failed Spurs. He was getting good money to do a job, and has been part of a team as a collective that has won nothing. So he has to shoulder some of the blame.
Regardless of the state of football’s finances..... The issue here is that Kane doesn’t want to play for Spurs anymore. Levy can place any price tag he wants on him but we all know a deal is gonna get done (whether it involves a deal with a player coming the other way who knows). Any player with any real ambition isn’t coming to spurs, we are a club going nowhere. We are nothing more than a stepping stone for bigger & better things and the club has ZERO sporting ambition.
Spurs without Kane are NOTHING. Whether we get 150mln or 90mln..... nothing will change
Sad times, no manager, our only world class player wants out and an ownership that has leveraged everything for a new stadium and a bigger bottom line.
The last 2 games could be a total facking shambles given the fact Kane is basically the only player who appears to give a shlt and now he’s had enough.
Look after yourself Harry...... It’s all Levy & Lewis do !!!!

If Levy prices Kane out the market and he's forced to stay at Spurs, it's not going to end well for anyone. You'll just have an unhappy tailsman= making certain squad members unhappy= unrest in the dressing room= team playing even worse..He's not going for a world record fee imo partly because he WANTS to go.
If Son has any sense he wont sign a new contract and will force the club to sell him
Good luck getting a decent manager now Levy...... You reap what you sow....... you stupid bald facker
Kane with his contract length will stay at Spurs well into his 30s and thats a big image problem for Spurs.
Outside of UK talented younsters always saw Spurs as a potential gateway to bigger clubs like Real, Barca, Utd, but recent years have shown that the club isn't really cooperative to do that.
Fair enough, but that also means that the biggest talents won't be as eager to go to Spurs unless they think that Spurs is their ceiling.
The biggest talents at Ajax for example (next Eriksen/Vertongen/Alderweireld) aren't likely to come as easy as back then, so you attract talents like Bergwijn, Ndombele. Good, respected players in their countries, but not potential world beaters.
In the long run It's better to be seen as stepping stone to the giants than a dead-end club for almost-players, as you can improve the squad year on year with the money like Liverpool did.
He'll go away and win trophies galore, you should be thankful a player like that stuck it out for so long. He's consistently been a class player for you for years.
Top goals and assists in the league and you've been terrible most the season.
Probably go to man city and score 40 a season and win all sorts
And some of you wonder why I hate the media.
Frankly, whilst not impossible, I cannot believe Kane would announce this ( and leak to the press ) before the end of the season, where we still have two important games to play, which will decide our European football next season.
For me Kane is too diplomatic for that, and clearly loves the club to much to do that.
So, the alternative is yet more media agenda to disrupt and dismantle Spurs. Something Sky ( and others ) have been doing for a couple of years now.
Ask yourself, why would a player like Kane, with his career long affiliation to Spurs, announce this now, knowing full well the impact it would have on the remainder of the season ?
And where is the actual evidence that he has said that he wants to leave ? has he, or the club given and interview, published a statement ?
We all know Sky's "transfer show" is pathetic, with 3 blokes sitting around a table with laptops that are not even turned on, gossiping about transfers with absolutely no inside track whatsoever.
Kane may well go, but if that is not in anyway official, Levy has got to be considering some sort of slander related action against Sky, given even he must be sick of this constant negative agenda against his club.
I am now waiting for the usual suspects, Merson in particular, to crawl out of the woodwork and give us all "his take" on Kane's move, whilst loving every minute of it.
"stuck it out for so long"
Not sure it was the slog you're portraying it. Other than this season, all previous years where he was a senior he was playing in the CL. We've been in cup finals including the biggest, title challenge. £200k a week.
He's been competing at the highest level and paid well for it. We, including him, haven't gotten over the line. We rolled the dice on Jose to do just that rather than get the right players in to support him.
It's understandable he now feels that where Spurs are today that we are no longer within reach of trophies for him but that hasn't been the case throughout.

A deal will be done if 1) Spurs are willing to sell and 2) Spurs and the selling club agree a price. If Spurs meet condition 1 and are willing to sell, they probably won't set a price that all players in the market consider unrealistic. They'll aim for the higher end of the market price. If they say "£200m or forget it" (unless I'm very wrong about the amount of spare cash the big clubs have) this is basically saying "he's not for sale". Which is fine. It's Spurs' prerogative to hold Kane to his contract. I still think it's unlikely a deal can be done this summer, because the sums that would make it worthwhile to Spurs probably don't make sense for potential buyers. United can't afford to spend £100m+ on Kane when they have bigger holes in their squad. I doubt Liverpool can afford him. City could afford him but have never spent anywhere near that much money on a single player, so it would mean a big change in modus operandi. Chelsea might just about go for it. The Spanish clubs are skint. PSG could afford it but might be cautious about FFP.
I think it's more likely the transfer fee will be around the £90m mark and be heavy loaded with add ons depending on the success he has with his new club over the duration of his contract with them. If he does win those trophies expect the final result to be anywhere between £110m to £130m.
