Caricol for Villa too sorry
Was really good, nice and chilled, wouldn’t go for longer than a week tho, 30/32 most days so was a nice break
Pieces may be falling in place for Jardim to Man Utd
Bit harsh to sell Mendy, Bakayoko, Fabinho, Silva, Lemar, Mbappe and replace them with massively inexperienced players and then blame the manager when they struggle.
Henry not the person to get them out of trouble imo
Mental if they sack him. He’s been brilliant for them.
They’ve bought well recently. But the summer they were far too scattergun, signing too many too. No surprise it hasn’t worked.
Isn't this the club that sacked Ranieri after coming runner up in their first season back in the top flight?
Agreed, they've just tried to hoover up all the young talent they can with no real plan. Outside of the CBs, Tielemans, Aholou and Falcao.
Jardim also managed to con the football world (me aside) into thinking Bakayoko was talented. That has to go down as an achievement only SAF can topple.
Outside of those 4 no one can hold down a place this season*
SAF didn’t con anyone, he got unreal performances out of his men.
Bakayoko was motm material in the CL for them to in top games! So Jardim is perfect for United
Getting a midfield where Anderson was the best player to win the league is the only think I can think of thats better than getting Bakayoko to the star the way he was
Ferguson just supplemented the genuinely world class elements of his squad with lesser talents that gave their all to be in that position. Average players look better next to really good players, especially when they have a team ethic.
Ska, SAF got top performances out of teams of average players
Every Premier League Utd team under Ferguson had at least one performer at the very top of his craft, though. It's not like he was winning the league with squads comparable to Huddersfield's.
He gets performances out of players that wouldn’t look out of place at west Brom crystal palace
Agree Ludy, likes of Evans ended up at West Brom, Cleverlet at Watford, Fabio at Cardiff, Anderson back in Brazil, Nani in Turkey, Wellbeck at Arsenal....
