Don't think you can compare him to Carrick really. At 25 United paid almost £20m for him.

Personally just can't see that happening for Howson. Could well prove me wrong, but its unlikely.

Did he not snuff Modric out the game recently?

I don't think he's too old, I think he's not good enough. For the majority of players by the time they are 24 they are close to their peak. Obviously could be that he hadn't been given a chance in a better league and is a late bloomer. But I don't see that as the case.

players dont hit there peak till 26/27 imo

you said at 23 and not to be recognised by England means he wont really stand a chance then went on to mention

Osman ahead of him 0 - U-21 caps, 0 - Caps

posted on 13/4/12

Osman is 7 years his senior

If that happens Jet I'll eat my hat.

If you look at things that way the same could happen for any English midfielder in the top league/Championship at the moment of similar age.

No you are looking at it wrong.

I don't think Osman will be recognised by England. But I think that he would be recognised for England ahead of Howson.

Afternoon. Here's a question. Who are the 5 best DM's in the world at the moment?

posted on 13/4/12

De Rossi, Cambiasso, Busquets, Song, Essien would make up the top 5 for me not sure which order, once Essien is probably back up to pace, likely to be next season would maybe say him, still a shame he can't still be the best box to box mid though

Not seen too much of De Rossi this season but apparently he's not played well?

My 5 would be: Yaya, Cambiasso, Martinez, De Rossi (at his peak), Khedira.

No place for Busquets because he is a tool

Actually, swap Martinez for The Schwein.
