Versatility is good, but it can also be a way of saying someones not good enough to hold down a particular position.
Drogba is never going to be as good as he was consistantly but he's still a top forward in my opinion. Same for Lampard really.
Drogba could still do it imo he just doesnt have the desire to put in the effort each game now, he seems to have his good few games ie valencia and napoli and then the rest he walks around letting everyone else do the work. Maybe he knows hes not staying at Chelsea, he'll put in the work in the CL because he wants to win it but hes probably not that bothered if chelsea get top 4 or not, he'll be elsewhere next season.
