People seemed a little confused by morespurs' post so thought I'd simplify things by just posting quotes instead of paraphrasing what I had heard
Look forward to him walking by Christmas

Get the impression that we've reached a point with Poch where he has to publically say he wants to leave PSG and he's just not willing to do that so we've moved on.
Not a bad second choice.
Poch should see out his contract at PSG and win something. Conte would be great. Just like Ten Hag before, I am getting a little excited.
Make it happen Levy!
Conte would probably be a better signing than Poch in the short term

in the short term I don't think it's even close - Conte is the best short term manager on the planet
To win a trophy or two while the revenues build back up I guess and while we still have Harry
It would be interesting to see how long conte would put up with levy.
Personally I still think conte wouldn’t go near spurs
This one will get people excited...

#thfc Per @JackPittBrooke & others, Spurs are in talks with Conte and Paratici over head-coach & DoF roles. Contact with Conte made on Thursday but club also been exploring Poch possibility. Unclear where this would leave Hitchen.
With 2 quality signings and if we finished outside conf league places reckon the title would be on with conte next season
I was reading an article about his tactics at Inter earlier. There's several players who could potentially benefit massively from his system - the likes of Lo Celso and Ndombele (fitness allowing), Kane and Son and Reguilon could all thrive in his setup.
There's a couple of big gaps though. I don't think Hojbjerg is equipped to play the deep midfield quarterback role like Brozovic does, and obviously a right wing back is badly needed.
I also think players like Winks and Alli might find themselves unable to get a game, unless he adapts the setup a fair bit for Spurs' squad
Onr thing I need to know about Conte
Is that his own hair?

Reguilón Ndombele GLC RWB

Best case scenario.
1. Because he's a top class manager
2. He will not take the job unless guaranteed significant money.
Very happy with Conte and his DoF, assuming it comes through it's a clear sign Levy has recognized that he needs to step away from the football side of things. Also if we do get them they'll have wanted reassurances about spending. I can't see Conte signing up (or the point of bringing in a DoF) with no funds there.
Fingers crossed it's all sooner rather than later.

Imitation and all that
It's ok but if you are keeping folks updated, it's no point both doing it

And then he signs a one year contract whilst Poch fulfils his last year with PSG!
This tweet sums it up perfectly I thought :
“If there's any coach who could fix Tottenham, it's surely Antonio Conte. But if there's any club that could break Antonio Conte, it's surely Tottenham.”

spot on isn't it
Would be very happy with Conte. Imo he's the guy people were hoping Jose would be. Unlike jose he is at the top of his game.
He will moan constantly about not having enough money to spend, but if he's successful and gets top 4 that might be a good thing to push levy to go for the top prizes.
