He's not test standard in any discipline. Just like Moeen, Overton, Bess or any of the other "but he bats a bit" players who we've used at 8 in the past several years.

Feel like a wicket is what we require right now.

It's amazing that so many different players have been tried when the best choice, Woakes, has missed out so often. I know he's had a few injuries here and there but more often than not, he's just not been selected.

Heard from my mate who has various connections via Surrey cricket networks, that Woakes' current "injury" is to his heel:

"Due to LACK OF F@CKING CRICKET since his last test, his skin on his heel which was tough as old boots became soft and when he came to bowl again, the soft skin bruised so now he can't bloody bowl."

...which is pretty comical if you think about it

Nice Robbo, thought he should have been on an over or two earlier in that session but enough time to prize another wicket out.

Rohit has looked stuck so will he look to counter with Pant or try and hold the innings together? The latter doesn't seem his style. Hopefully we can get two wickets early in the next session and then CONTINUE TO BOWL NORMALLY at the tail.
