Think if we win the first session that should be the game. With the pitch flat you would hope for 400+ this innings.
India will no doubt bat a lot better second time round. With a flat pitch, a more disciplined Indian batting performance if it's not swinging it will be a battle to get 10 wickets, so I would be a little concerned if we got rolled for under 300 from here.
Need to continue our dominance and put on a big first innings score. Great chance for our top order to get some runs and confidence.

England fans laughing now because of cloud but India are bowling now . Even if India can cut lead 150 maybe good chance still day 2 not started
As good as England were yesterday, India were extremely poor. Rahul, Pant and Rohit's dismissals were awful wickets to give away. Bumrah was good and Shami had some nice deliveries but were unable to build pressure as any bad ball, and there were a fair few, were nicely put away to the boundary by our openers. The fielding was wayward too, overthrows, sluggish run out attempts and Rohit not really ever looking like taking that edge from Hameed for his 50.
I'd expect them to come back hard this morning so hopefully Burns and Hameed can blunt them for the first hour to allow us to bat the out of the game.

250 + i think and declaration. This match will be done by day 3 i think. Even now the bowlers dont look at it.
Burns gone, that was almost unplayable to be fair.

Tough work out there at the moment, just need to stick it out and it should get easier this afternoon.

My word Can't give away cheap runs like that after scoring so few.
Disappointed with Hameed today. Appreciate he had to play himself in and start again, whilst the bowling was much better. But he showed no intent today, that was a Sibley knock and you could see the wicket coming.
Promising knock overall though.
Yeah he batted beautifully yesterday but looked set on just seeing out the morning session today. After the carnage of yesterday, I can understand why he would have perhaps been more hesitant but considering how he batted yesterday, he needed to be a bit more positive today.
Hameed was too slow. Game was going nowhere. Probably a blessing in disguise that he is out because now its down to the flair players. Needs to be a little more positive.
