Cats do hunt huntsman. I’m genuinely getting a couple of Bengal cats in the next year to take care of all insects - cockroaches are a problem in Sydney.

Could a cat or dog not hunt them? Cats a hard as fack for their size and as fast as anything, so reckon I’d get a big cat to protect the house.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not bothered by snakes so I'd probably raise a load of snakes and get my Mrs to feed them baby spiders until that's all they knew, then basically live in an Indiana Jones temple of doom-esque house, crawling with spider-hunting snakes.

Usually on a wall while you’re watching Tv and out of the corner of your eye a dinner plate sized spider appears. They’re completely harmless though so you just learn to live with them.
-
Never, under any circumstances, would I get used to living with a dinner-plate sized arachnid. This has genuinely been a deal-breaker for me when rejecting work opportunities down under.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They’re harmless though 😂. You deffo do get used to them. Take the job offer and wonder why you ever stayed away.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll make sure they put that on my tombstone when I see one and almost immediately perish from a heart attack... "They're harmless though."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m with you there. Those things are horrific not to mention anything that bites, stings that can kill you lives in Oz. It genuinely puts me off going near the place which is a shame.snakes I don’t mind but not 14 inch big spiders. Fack that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂 you barely see anything dangerous. The odd spider but some people go years without ever seeing a huntsman. And snakes are about as common in Sydney as badgers are in central London. You should go post COVID and join the ranks of English people who would trade their passports tomorrow if they could.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not for me. I guarantee as soon as I moved into a meticulously researched supposedly huntsman free Aussie territory the b*starts would come in from every direction. I honestly don’t know how people over there cope with horrors like that.
When I lived in London I saw rats just outside my house and that freaked me out more than anything in Australia
I honestly don’t know how people over there cope with horrors like that.

You're talking about a people who knowingly venture into shark infested waters on flat twigs, knowing that the grandchild of Jaws is lurking off the shore waiting to mistake them for a seal.

Exactly what’s a 15ft long half tonne torpedo with a head full of razor sharp teeth got on a 3 inch hairy thing that has a bite comparable to a bee sting
There’s a lot you can do to avoid shark attacks. Like not surfing at stupid times of the day and also avoiding Western Australia which is basically the M25 of great white shark lanes.
