C- Yes. As are most pl managers, ole included.
We bought Veron and RVN and didn't win the league.
Chelsea bought Shevchenko and Ballack and didn't win the league.
Buying Kane and Grealish guarantees them nothing. I do think Kane would mean they'd win more games when they're not playing great though and could be the difference in the CL. Which is why I hope they don't get him.
They just walked the league without the best number nine and most creative player in the league.
They are going to be stripped of all their titles soon so they need every bit of luck they can.

If City buy both of them then it’s fraudulent. There’s no way they can spend that kind of money during covid, so if they do then they’re literally committing fraud.

Wouldn’t worry about it, they can only play eleven players at once, who’s to say they’ll make them so much better?

Yeah I feel like he'll make the biggest difference in the CL. In the league, I imagine they will win by bigger margins but they can still lose football matches. They will still have those frustrating games where things just don't come off or the opposition counters them really well and it's not like they lose tons of games already, so it's hardly like they are suddenly going to tighten up and earn a bunch of wins that they weren't before.
If City have Kane in the CL final last season though, you have to think they'd have gone and won that game.
They'll be favourites over the next 2/3 years at least but let's face it, they would have been already, so no real change there.

You know I am correct. With FFP there’s no way legally youse can buy them two at £250 mill. Unless you commit some kind of fraud.
It’s not that simple though. We’ve never really had trouble shutting Kane down. He’s not as good a footballer as Aguero, so there are no guarantees he will be an instant success. Playing for City will be the first time in his career there’s been real expectation on him.
Would be much more worried about city dominating for years if they signed just Haaland.

This is a good point and I think we can apply the same to any big move, for example Sancho might struggle to start with. Both could go either way
The thing that worries me about them getting Kane and Grealish isn’t so much next season. It’s if it leads to Pep signing a new contract.
It’s Grealish OR Kane, both is just paper talk
I’m confused… for the past few years United fans have wanted City to win.
Why the sudden change of heart?
But please I only want Culer to answer as he is the smartest and most articulate poster on this site
This is Harry Kane we're talking about here.
Sure, he'll turn up against the bottom half sides (and Arsenal) and hit 20-25 league goals at a canter.
But what about crunch games against league rivals and knockout football?
Manchester City belong to Thomas Tuchel, I wouldn’t worry about it. He’ll simply shut them down if they get carried away
