Zapped mate
Ways and means of doing things and grealish at least seemed professional about his move …villa fans may have a different take on it though
This is very different to modric , bale , berbatov etc as they weren’t at their boyhood club
Remember Kane always referred to Spurs as his club
He seems to have forgotten it though …..just for a couple of medals !
For me he keeps his status as a legend.
He has to do what he is doing because of Levy. He knows Levy is not going to bend over backwards to let Kane leave. I don't blame him. Mentally he has left Spurs. He needs to go. We should let him go. We are a shambles and Kane can see it.
We all said Kane deserves better last season and that still stands for me. Yes the way he is going about it rattles many but can you blame him?
Levy has let him and every Spurs fan down by "taking his eye of the team" as he put it in his DNA statement.
It will be painful to see him play in the prem every week but I hope it hurts Levy the most and reminds him of what a rubbish job he has done with the team and it will be a reminder of his own failings. Week in week out.
Kane has acted disgracefully. Who does he think he is? He can just not turn up for work? I honestly did not think he was like this. Can’t ever remember an England captain setting a worse example.
Actually hope he goes. 👍
I thought he had a bit more about him. I just want him out the door as quick as possible now. He's made his bed, we don't need his antics disrupting our start of the season for any longer than they have to. Like all supporters, I didn't begrudge him wanting the move. He's gave us plenty over the years and would leave the club's bank balance in a healthy position to rebuild. You can't ask for much more than that. He's messed up big time by not fulfilling is contact obligations. He's ended up looking like a caant.
As Sandy says, he can't be given the same status as true Spurs legends like Billy Minter and Bert Bliss.

I 2nd that!
Want the circus over with now
Don’t want him at Tottenham anymore
I do agree levy is to blame and really let all of us down by not building and investing around Kane
But I just can’t accept the way he is going about it …..and to his club too
For me he's be out best player for 5 years plus. Don't blame him for wanting out as he should be been winning things with us had Levy backed his manager(s) past and present. Do not not like his no show actions and it is totally disrespectful to the club who gave him a mighty fine living, his team mates and mostly the fans.
But then I doubt he will play every game for City (should he go).. look at their squad. He will be rested etc.
He will be missed and cannot be replaced as he is a one off. We will find a striker but not be the same level. What annoys me is we have appointed this DOF and we are still messing about in the transfer market trying to sign players.
We will miss out on our key targets as per usual and have the same excuses ... " we tried" etc.
One can only imagine what has happened behind closed doors that would make a player risk that legend status? I imagine his mental health is shot so he is probably right to take a wee break.
If it's fine for gymnast birds....
The only person responsible for Kane's actions are Kane.
If he didn't want to be at Spurs after this window then he shouldn't have signed his new contract.
If he definitely wanted to leave in this window then he should have negotiated something in his contract that would have allowed it to happen.
The only reason that something wasn't in his contract is because it would have led to a reduction in his wages - something that he wouldn't have wanted.
He's acted shamefully, disgracefully and he's let down his teammates, the club and its supporters.
He should be booed every time he sets foot in North London from here on in. He's certainly earned it.
I think personally he's already crossed the line with a majority of the fans.
Fair enough we don't match his ambition and he wants to go that's understood, but to pull a moody and not turn up just stinks of one man thinking his bigger than the club.
What's he gonna be like if he don't get his move?

He is Tottenham mate. He will bottle it and back track. Apologise and get on with trying to beat Shearer's record.
You can't be the best spurs player of the last 50 years and not be a club legend because you're being a bit of a caaant when you're trying to leave
I cannot really decide how i feel.
If he had left like Grealish then most would have given him their blessing.
This is the sort of behaviour we saw from Modric and Berbatov and i did not expect it from "one of our own".
It taints his legacy for sure, it will hurt initially but Im not a hateful guy (although i make an exception for RSol) so I will get over it quickly and concentrate on those in the white shirt.

Of course it can. The fans are the ones giving you the legendary status.
Harry Winks would die for your club yet many of your fans would happily throw him out on his ear if you got a half decent offer.
The reality is the most "loyal" party is the one who needs the other the most, if hypothetically speaking Kane stayed and his legs went, would Levy keep a what is now an average football taking a squad place as a 'loyalty' reward or would he start whoring him out to whoever the hell might take him? We all know exactly what he would do.

What a load of tosh.
He signed a long term contract in 2018 because he was told by Levy that Spurs were committed to supporting both him & then manager Pochettino. Neither of which happened, Levy lied to get both to commit their futures to the club.
18 months later Poch was gone and the master of anti-football Mourinho was brought in.
How was Kane to know what Levy was going to do 18 months down the line?
He won`t be a Spurs legend that`s for sure. I class Spurs legends as players such as Greaves, Hoddle, Perryman, Jennings, King, Mabbutt, Vertonghen etc.
Players that die for the badge, those who remain loyal and committed regardless, they never want to jump ship no matter which club flutters their eyelashes at them.
The kind of players that are gutted when their time at Spurs is brought to an end against their wishes, those are the true Spurs legends. Not those who will dump the club at the drop of a hat, to go and chase a few cheap and easy medals or piles of cash.
That`s the way I see it.

Don’t agree at all. If Harry moved to Arsenal, would you say the same thing ? Him being our best player in 50 years has no relevance if he’s disrespectful of the club and supporters. Reputation and legacy can vanish just like that in football. Nearly happened with Gerrard and 100% it would have happened if he moved to Chelsea. Liverpool fans were burning Gerrard shirts, so it can happen.
