Away from Harry Kane, have a look at the following clip from last night.

Look at Harry Winks' and Skipp's effort in midfield here in the first 15 seconds. Same old soft centre Spurs. Our academy producing lightweight midfielders summed up perfectly.

https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1423305293417566211?s=19
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can forgive Skipp. Weaks needs to do better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why should Skipp be forgiven? He should be aiming to impress in a match against Chelsea. Get stuck in. Take a yellow if need be. As Blackpool said - Powder puff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he's young and wasn't at the club last season, and so is getting used to a new team. In any case we have seen that all too often from Weaks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry spurtle but that should work the other way round ….he should be looking to leave a mark ! Trying to impress !

I’m not saying injure the guy but let him know you are there ….seen it all too often over the years from our academy products in that position

Hoping it’s a one off from skipp as I have high hopes

I miss the days of freund ! He was a bit rubbish but you didn’t pass him with ease!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's true Blackpole.

At the end of the day though it's early days, and not just for him but the manager as well. They're both getting used to each other.

I think we know Skipp has it in him to do better after the season he had at Norwich. He was rated highly by Mourinho too. My hopes for him are higher than Winks right now.

We will have to agree to disagree. I saw quite abit of the match and i noticed a couple of times Skipp looked out of his depth. One time he was surrounded by two or three Chelsea players near the touchline and played a hit and hope pass. Another time he just got bullied off the ball then this incident here.

He has played a few games prior to this already in pre season so no excuse about being rusty.

Billy Gilmour for example is way ahead of Skipp and Skipp is older. He needs another loan. Curtis Jones of Liverpool is better too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough. You may well have a better judgement on it than me as I didn't see the game. Even if he did have a stinker though, pre-season friendlies aren't going to provide us all the answers. Let's see what he does when the league gets up and running.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The pace of the first half was played at prem level. Hopefully Skipp will learn he has to impose himself more when given his next opportunity.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would say to give him a run with Hojbjerg in midfield and they'd forge a decent partnership.

Definitely mate

Gave up on winks ages ago

Just another average weak midfielder who excels at nothing

Shame as we all love a club man

Curtis Jones looks a proper player

Grealish esque
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Nile John will overtake Skipp by the end of the season. He looks more dynamic and has something more about him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not seen a minute of him yet mate but looking forward to it ….. I don’t even know what he looks like!

I most excited about scarlet….there is something about him

They were such a formidable partnership…..felt great seeing them on the team sheet

Dembele was so strong and skilful but he wasn’t praised enough for how hard he worked …..would win the ball back with ease in matches ….my favourite player for Spurs in centre midfield in my lifetime

Shhhhhhoooootttttt……classic for Stefan …..loved his passion

Still remember when he ran off from Keane though

Said this on another forum so might as well post here. I must be in the minority here, but I still want H to stay. Don’t get me wrong, I want the pric*** to apologise to the fans, but I want him to crack on and give us another season. In the meantime we build our squad around him. Sell the rubbish to make money. I think people are excited at the prospect of Kane going and having all that money, but forgetting we got to replace 50 goals and assists

A "priik who can score 50 goals and assists" and you want him to apologise? It's better he's gone if that's the typical Spurs fan reaction.
How about a simple "Thank you for the good times and wish you all the best up north"....instead...

Nope, 10000% he apologises. I’m sure if fatty Frank refused to train, you wouldn’t be having the same attitude hypocrite. At the end of the day, he’s looked really poor during this saga and if he stays, he will have to repay the Tottenham faithful and gain our love again

I think a lot of fans are annoyed he wants to leave to go to a club that is currently better on the pitch, but is nevertheless a club that, in their eyes, is a hollow, soulless club.

And that makes me laugh my backside off.

I love how much City rile up the supporters of other clubs, knowing full well how those supporters would actually feel if what had happened to City had instead happened to the club they support.

Everton fans hated us when we signed Lescott.

Villa fans boiled their own psss when Barry left to join City.

Arsenal and Adebayor - don’t tell me there’s not a Spurs fan who didn’t enjoy how that went down.

And now Spurs fans in regards to Kane.

It’s absolutely hilarious how hypocritical fans are. Blatantly hypocritical.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d feel the same too. I remember when Chelsea signed Shaun Wright-Philips. I felt gutted. So I’m just as hypocritical as the rest of you.

Still, this whole saga is hilarious to me.

And the funniest thing to me is…

… I don’t even think it will happen.

And should it not happen, and the next time Kane scores a goal for Spurs, you’ll all celebrate it. Of course you will.

It's also because you are not a big club and never have been. You are also hypocrites, claiming you are skint and would rather promote a player from the academy, then going out and spending billions on new players, just because they can.

And there we have it. Billy coming along and writing a response that is predictable to a tee.

For Don Tot...in answer.......
City have just signed Grealish for 100 Mil.
Do they have another 130 Mil for Kane?
If so...... I'd wish Kane a happy journey north.
He's done all he could ever be asked to do for a club run by ENIC.
