I think he would have gone to PSG this window if they didn’t get Messi but now that’s not gonna happen he’s probably been advised to sit tight and go for free next year so he and his agent get a large fee and he can choose his club. I’d imagine a few clubs would take him for free even if his wages would be on the high side.
We can’t force him to leave and I’m coming round to the idea that what we could get out of him for a season outweigh the fee we’d theoretically get this window. Especially if he plays all season like he did against Leeds.
Who is going to buy him this summer?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nobody can afford him this summer, not what United would ask for him and not for what he’d ask for in wages.
Heks going on a free, next summer to PSG.
Pogba to PSG for free next summer seems very possible. Also I know Real and Barca are always going to be huge clubs but is the quality of La Liga much better than other leagues now? You could argue Ligue 1 produced better home grown quality and PSG are stronger than both Real and Barca.
He'll be off next summer, he's 29 and I can't see United matching the wages on offer, so it's inevitable.
Theoretically, he'll play out of his skin this year to make sure he gets his move, so we might get at least one season where he's consistently at the level he's capable of. Then they can put his wage towards Haaland

Don’t think any player is bothered about the quality of the league their going to play in.
1, Who’s paying them the most.
2, Chances of winning trophies.
3, Playing in the champions league.
Keep him and hope that he can help us win a title before he leaves. Hopefully VDB can start to have an impact that season and can replace Pogba in the team when he leaves, with Garner taking VDB's spot in the squad.
Anyone know if Garner is going on loan?
I’m pretty sure La Liga and the PL have been a great pull compared to other leagues in recent years. Of course players will factor in the things you mentioned but many also care about the league they’re competing in. Pretty sure most players would pick a mid table PL over a domestic winning or CL side from a small league.

Depends on the money
Same with Serie A is the 80s and 90s, best league in the world that all the best players wanted to play in, even for teams that weren’t likely to ever compete for the title.
Wouldnt be surprised if Utd folded and offered him 700k a week
Obviously money is important but you’re completely dismissing the quality of a league as a factor into why players will choose to join certain clubs. I’m guessing Pogba being a Parisian will also be a big factor if he does move to PSG.
I joked about this when he rejoined you but didn't actually think it would happen.
I honestly do not begrudge pogba if he leaves as many know I have always liked him but also recognise his weaknesses
I do have a problem with the level of greed in football tho. Agents and players now engineer situations to hold their parent club to ransom or risk losing them for free.
Bosman was brought in for fairness but it has become one of the tools that greedy agents and players have used to drive up their wages beyond economic reality.
While utd l lossig a top player for nothing is a annoying. The bigger issue is the effect this has on football. Spiralling wages driven by agent greed and clubs operating outside economic reality is not a sustainable model.
Something as to change or there will be more clubs in trouble going forward
Yeah I’m not sure the Bosman ruling was made so that the richest club on the planet could get 5 top players for free in one summer by paying astronomical wages.

We aren’t talking about most players or mid level players. We talking about the good to best players and money talks.
Look at Wijnaldum!
Could’ve stayed at Liverpool, could’ve gone to Barcelona but went to PSG.
He’s not gone for the money!

this kind of mentality is what I alluded to in my earlier post. 700k, then fernandes agent will soon be asking for 700k too. Current policies in football encourages clubs to act in a financially reckless and unsustainable manner
Sorry I mean 4, they at least paid Inter for Hakimi.
Why aren’t we talking about mid level players too, I’m talking about all players. I’m saying most players will look at the quality of a league as a factor in their decision to move. There are other factors too but that is a key one.
Wijnaldum choose PSG over Barca because Barca are a complete mess.

Yeah but it's where football is heading with transfer fees being so astronomical these days.
Ole and told the club (Judge and Co) to stop phannying about and sort out players contracts such as Bruno and Pogba, apparently.
If Paris are going to offer to pay Pogba a ridiculous Kings Ransom next season and he turns down United's very gererous offer then good luck to him. But good riddance. Get Donny in this season mainly and use Pogba when necessary.
We will need a top CF next year when Cavani leaves. Spend the money on that.
Barca's current wages to turnover % is 103%. Madness. Then you think about PSG currently. Wonder what theirs is? Not sure about their income compared to Barca, but their wage bill must have gone through the roof this summer.
