I dont know why you lot put up with Levy.. He pays himself more money than any other chairmen in the premier league.
Kane has given everything to Spurs and wants to win things. he should be allowed to leave for a decent price.. Not 150+ million that Levy demands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A decent price would be £160 million. Spurs hold all the cards fella. Just shut the feck up, this has nothing to do with Mousers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed, shut the f** up scouser. I’m sure you wouldn’t be so accommodating if City offered 80 mil for Mo Salah would you ? In fact, you Liverpool fans hit the roof when Steven Gerrard was inches away from Chelsea. Hypocrites. Kane signed a 6 year contract and still has 3 years left. If he truly wanted out, why not ask for a release clause like Grealish ? Like Smeg pointed out, Kane has had numerous chances to win big trophies at Spurs including the CL final ( biggest of all ) and has bottled it like every other of the Spurs players. He doesn’t deserve his move. We are the ones that hold the power and if we get a respectable offer ( 160 mil plus ) he’s free to go. Until then, City can f** off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well said Don. If a proper offer comes in, then he can go, and we can all move on. But Levy aint letting him go on the cheap, just to suit City. If they come in with a derisory offer of £120 million, then Levy should just tell them to finally just feck off. Why should Spurs be helping Financially doped City out. They are desperate for a striker, but they are not getting Kane on their terms, just because they think they can throw money at any player, and the selling club will buckle. Spurs also have ambitions, just not City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed mate. The whole thing stinks from the get go. It was clear as day City had tapped him up last season as that Gary Neville interview was so obviously a flirt in City’s direction and the 100 mil fee he quoted. He knew full well City were interested and they probably spoke to Harry’s representatives behind Spurs back. Harry Kane stays for me if no offer we deem acceptable comes in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The papers make me crack up

The Mirror say Manchester City have sensationally been offered Cristiano Ronaldo - but insist Harry Kane remains their top transfer target.

The Daily Mail say Harry Kane believes chairman Daniel Levy has broken a promise to let him leave Tottenham this summer.

The Sun say Harry Kane expects a breakthrough before the weekend in his bid to join Manchester City.

The Telegraph say Harry Kane has thrown down the gauntlet to Daniel Levy to make good on an understanding that he could leave Tottenham if the club failed to win a trophy or finished outside the top four last season.

Where does each of these so called Journalists get this stunning information from?

Why is that funny?

It's all well and good Kane wanting to go and City wanting him. But the bottom line is, if you want Harry Kane then you need to pay the price that Spurs are willing to accept.

I personally reckon the fee haoios be £200m plus.

I'm not saying he's worth tbat, but to Spurs he is worth 3x that.

City need to either up their game or fack off. Kane should be more annoyed with City not showing enough commitment to buying him.

And "gentlemans agreement"

posted on 18/8/21

I would give City a deadline and just refuse any call after that. They pay 170 mil cash or bug. ger off. I’m sure they will be alright with the 900 million pound squad they have. They bought Grealish for 100 mil too and they are still not happy Pep the fraud

'Levy agreed to let the striker leave' is the bit I like. I can't help feeling the Kanes are all confused as to why we didn't just accept City's first offer.

Spurs need to learn to use the press also. Put a price out there and a deadline. Make it clear to Kane and all that these are the terms. Take it or leave it.

Hope city win nothing. They’re everything that’s wrong with football.

Honestly wouldn’t want spurs to be owned by a state. I’d always feel like it was a bit hollow.

When we do finally win something, which we will, it’s going to feel real. We earnt it. Even if it’s just a league cup.

While Harry seems absolute desparate to leave he is not willing to put in a transfer request which speaks volumes.
======
Yeah, he wants to protect his "loyalty bonus" and the likes.

No ambition

which is hardly surprising I guess - given the amount of time he's been at Spurs

Seem to remember having a discussion when this all started and Sol Campbell was brought up. Some said he’d promised to sign a new contract but then broke his promises and left, what’s the difference between a player breaking their word and the club breaking theirs???

All a bit hypocritical isn’t it?

On what basis did Levy agree to sell Kane as this was apparently agreed at the beginning of last season?Kane had already signed the contract was there already an offer on the table?

Edward, they don`t get any information. It is all totally made up bollox. Astonishing how Sky can keep so much rubbish going 24/7, with all sorts of two bob presenters spouting total bollox and spin. I think they must think their audience is like 12 year olds.

This article is titled broken promises, all’s I’ve seen for weeks is you lot laughing at the fact that Levy’s apparent promise to Kane has been broken and the contract he signed stands. (Which is correct)

Yet the fact that Sol Campbell didn’t have a contract and broke his promise to sign a new one but left was wrong. (Forget where he went, because yes I see the problem with that)

You can’t stand all high and mighty and back one scenario when it is in the club’s favour and then go the other way when it affects it, it’s hypocritical.

posted on 18/8/21

City are entitled to make a bid for a player, Spurs are equally entitled to turn it down.

The problem lies with Kane who has failed to commit his future to Spurs but hasn’t put in a transfer request either.

I don’t particularly want a player with that attitude, neither should you
