In fact seen as this is a bit more formal, i'll tell you all a funny tale.

Years ago, when I was just 18, my office manager left to get a job at KitchensDirect as a regional boss.

I was the top, top performer in the office for months and to the surprise of everyone (even me), the area manager (Spurs fan) approached me about the job.

I was obviously bricking it, managing an office of salespeople who ranged from being in their 20s to 40s at such a young age but I took the role on.

It was awkward because I had some good 'lad' mates in the office before I took the job and we were still mates when I was managing them. A fair assessment would be that, in my youth, I didn't stamp out the 'lad' culture from the office.

I decided that as I would be hiring new staff, only good looking women would be considered for the telesales jobs. If a lad rang the office about a vacancy, I would ask for his CV via email. If a bird did, it would right away be an interview ASAP.

I took on some pretty tasty birds and one day this 'girl' called Rebecca was due in for interview. The vibe in the office had actually increased a lot in my first few months because so many tidy women were suddenly employed and I had hyped up this interview with 'Rebecca' quite a bit to my lad mates.

Anyway it gets to about 2pm when 'she' is due in. The office intercom rang and I buzzed her up. We were all eagerly anticipating what she would look like, as it was a big factor in hiring her.

I am sat behind my desk and any second now she will walk through the office door. Then all of a sudden this 'thing' emerges through the doorway. Number 2 buzzcut, full suit and tie with huge Rockport shoes. I was absolutely disgusted as I stood up to greet 'Rebecca' and so were the lads.

Anyway it was the shortest interview i'd ever done. Literally took 'her' into the office for a 2 minute chat, asked her some basic questions and told her I would get back to her.

As I lead her back out of the office and shut the door behind her, I turned around and all the lads started cheering as I shook my head in disgust.

She didn't get the job.

Thank god none of that is true

Not sure what it was for, to be honest. I was waiting for a punchline.

Let's just be honest, it's not funny and it's a pointless story I wasted 3 minutes of my life reading through. Obviously wants to show what an important guy he is and what a cool boss he is, but it does neither. Unfortunate all round.

Been having a difficult day at this thread has really cheered me up, so thank you for that, Mr. Culer!

Quick question: when you advertised the roles as an office manager in your teens, did you put something like “wanted - female receptionist - non smoker - non ugly”?

According to Google he played 12 times last season, scored 4 and assisted 1, in the league. Over the last few seasons he has also missed significant periods of time with injuries.

One of the best strikers the PL has ever seen, just not recently
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You miss my point. They've let him go and now they don't have any goalscorers in the squad. Maybe Ferran Torres when he's older but not now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They don’t have goal scorers in their squad

Haven’t they just won their last two games 5-0?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Against two absolute dross sides...

remind me again who did utd smash this season...???

Ronaldo is a huge gamble, even the MEN - Your own mouthpiece said City played you like a flute over that transfer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not like we've dropped 100m on him, honestly even if it doesn't work out, we've not really lost that much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
£55m in wages?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably less than Grealish’s contract.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
UTD get naff all for shirt sales, no clubs do Adidas Nike Umbro etc score big by all mugs that have to have the latest shirt now with CR7. Hell attract sponsor money ...maybe as he is an aging attribute they usually add more value to museums than anything else.

Dude, you have got literally no awareness, how the fvck are you someone's boss ffs. There are a million better ways to get to the bottom of why the camera wasn't on rather than calling her out in front of the team
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If one member of the team isn't pulling their weight then they are counter productive and disrespecting the team members who do pull weight.

Simple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
your pulling something but its not your weight!!

Just seen VVD is injured again. Liverpool really are in decline aren't they. Van Dijk is quite injury prone now.

He's injured. Simple as that.

Also the type of injury he has sustained are typically ones that get much, much worse with time so this could have long term effects on his career.

Haven’t you got something else to do, like being a knobhead to fellow employees?

Culer would have to supply a copy of VVD's medical report before I'd believe him.

Still not seen VVD injury reported anywhere
