Would you say you are quite a firm boss Culér or are you one of the guys?

Honestly I am a great boss with extremely high quality leadership characteristics.

I am firm but fair.

HR wouldn't touch getting rid of her with a mile long pole. You're not getting rid of someone who just had a baby, and who has filed complaints about your management & who has been pressured to not take maternity leave. That's like begging her to take the company to court ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trust me I can.

Dude, you have got literally no awareness, how the fvck are you someone's boss ffs. There are a million better ways to get to the bottom of why the camera wasn't on rather than calling her out in front of the team
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If one member of the team isn't pulling their weight then they are counter productive and disrespecting the team members who do pull weight.

Simple.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not pulling her weight? This was apparently over 2 things, one being a camera not being on, which is irrelevant to the work, unless she was supposed to be actively showing something physically, like on a whiteboard or something, and the other thing being you pressuring her not to take maternity leave, which, fvck you if that's the case. That's not 'not pulling weight' that's littledick manager syndrome
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but if every member of the team except one is willing to commit, then the person who won't commit is a problem.

She agreed to cancel it though so how can she say she was pressured?? Gave birth in May, then when we got into June the sales took a downfall and my projections forecast that it would get worse in July and August.

I asked her to cut it short and have more flexibility WFH so it wouldn't affect time with her baby that much.

She agreed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So basically she had a conversation with her boss, where he said that the numbers are all down and it could get worse, please cut your maternity short.

I'm sure she definitely wasn't thinking that if she didn't you'd find a way to make her redundant. Definitely under no pressure.

You sound like a sheite boss
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh and I also promised her a monthly guaranteed bonus if she agreed to it, but she won't be getting that now after this nonsense.

You do not sound particularly fair. Maybe it works in a sales focussed position, but if I found out one of the people in my team were behaving like you, I'd have you up on disciplinary as soon as possible with a view to finding a way to manage you out of the company.

In fact seen as this is a bit more formal, i'll tell you all a funny tale.

Years ago, when I was just 18, my office manager left to get a job at KitchensDirect as a regional boss.

I was the top, top performer in the office for months and to the surprise of everyone (even me), the area manager (Spurs fan) approached me about the job.

I was obviously bricking it, managing an office of salespeople who ranged from being in their 20s to 40s at such a young age but I took the role on.

It was awkward because I had some good 'lad' mates in the office before I took the job and we were still mates when I was managing them. A fair assessment would be that, in my youth, I didn't stamp out the 'lad' culture from the office.

I decided that as I would be hiring new staff, only good looking women would be considered for the telesales jobs. If a lad rang the office about a vacancy, I would ask for his CV via email. If a bird did, it would right away be an interview ASAP.

I took on some pretty tasty birds and one day this 'girl' called Rebecca was due in for interview. The vibe in the office had actually increased a lot in my first few months because so many tidy women were suddenly employed and I had hyped up this interview with 'Rebecca' quite a bit to my lad mates.

Anyway it gets to about 2pm when 'she' is due in. The office intercom rang and I buzzed her up. We were all eagerly anticipating what she would look like, as it was a big factor in hiring her.

I am sat behind my desk and any second now she will walk through the office door. Then all of a sudden this 'thing' emerges through the doorway. Number 2 buzzcut, full suit and tie with huge Rockport shoes. I was absolutely disgusted as I stood up to greet 'Rebecca' and so were the lads.

Anyway it was the shortest interview i'd ever done. Literally took 'her' into the office for a 2 minute chat, asked her some basic questions and told her I would get back to her.

As I lead her back out of the office and shut the door behind her, I turned around and all the lads started cheering as I shook my head in disgust.

She didn't get the job.

I am not in the wrong. She can WFH and look after the baby. Her Mum can help her or something.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That’s a very misogynistic thing to say so, yes, you are in the wrong - and deserve everything you get.

Did Culer get the vote if no confidence yet?

Before the season started, I had,
UTD, Liverpool, Chelsea, City, as the final four.
Gonna be a close one.
Now the window has closed I have,
UTD, Chelsea, Liverpool, City…
I think UTD have had the biggest improvement in the window that seriously puts us in the conversation.
All teams going into the season were already strong, the only reason I have City falling ho 4th is that, I believe they will go all in on the Champions League, and that may cost them vital points in the run in, but I have city falling away with about 5/4 games to go..

As for the other 3, I have it as a humdinger, and close as hell going into the final few games, maybe a last day 3-way slobberknocker.
