What about AWB, there’s a good chance he could be in prison for the 2nd half of the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe if he's padded up with Mendy, he can teach that clown how to actually defend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who would be teaching whom?
The main issue for me is will a 38/39 year old Ronaldo be able to retain the league and CL in a couple of years after winning back to back trebles?
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/dimaria-man-utd-shirt-ronaldo-24889634?fbclid=IwAR17997ss4CoWrXHVw5wkcLKD9GKNzznF6mRTeYqTUM5qkIUDtAmQd7dumM
Random but LVG was right about Di Maria, probably one of the worst players we had at passing a ball or through ball to a teammate. Sort of Like Fred and Sanchez play balls to no one consistently.
We had so many games we just needed 1 or 2 goals to win in the last few seasons. Ronaldo could be the difference.
Looking forward to Ronaldo’s latest debut if it’s against West Ham.
Could he handle being heckled by 60,000 chimney sweeps?

The depth on paper of Liverpool's squad (particularly in attack) seems worse than the other sides, but looking elsewhere I don't really think it's that much worse than most of the other sides.
For instance, Gomez and Matip, assuming both wouldn't start over the season, are both decent options and I'd certainly trust them over United's and City's back up CB's for instance. In midfield, the likes of Keita, Jones, Ox etc are not bad options either. Maybe not as strong as City's or Chelsea's on paper, but certainly good enough when given the opportunity and when they aren't plagued by injury. Going forward there is a pretty sizeable drop off, but even a forward line of Jota, Firmino and Elliot I reckon would still do enough to beat many sides in the league.
As much as I agree the squad seems a lot thinner on paper than the others, it's still not "as bad" as what people would assume at first glance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely Klopp sees Elliot as a CM though? I thought you'd use
Jota
Firmino
Minamino
With Origi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He might do, but I've seen enough of Origi to know that using Elliot in the attacking trio would be a better shout at this point, I'd even argue the same with Minamino. Whilst I think Minamino still has something to prove, I'd still rather Elliot at this point.

Yeah he has. He's even been used as the Firmino role during pre-season as well.
They've still got something to prove (Elliot and AOC) for different reasons, but the talent is there in both players and, like I say, I'd trust them to do a job against most PL sides in this league, even if they are a clear drop off from Salah and Mane, but that's hardly anything to be ashamed of.

To be fair, and I feel like I have to say this given some of what people have been writing on here, Mendy is innocent until proven guilty. Nobody knows the details of what has apparently gone on. Remember what happened to Ched Evans too.

Feel a bit tight for AWB to be fair. He gets more grief than he genuinely deserves and is oddly written off as "he's just good at defending".
I can't quantify the amount of good chances he's prevented and he isn't overly slick going forward but as much as he can frustrate because he hasn't earned us a point going forward, he saves points at the back and I feel he's good enough at it that he's worthy of his spot in the first 11.
His goal line clearance against Wolves was excellent and a save that most right backs probably don't make.

I've literally not seen this reported anywhere. The club are doing it the right way, keeping all under wraps etc so it doesn't impact the title push.
We still don't know why he did it and there could be a very valid reason for it so we wait and see.

What is it AWB is accused of? He is innocent until proven guilty Boris come on. Pretty poor of you to be saying stuff like that when he's not been found guilty.

He has already pleaded guilty.

I've literally not seen this reported anywhere. The club are doing it the right way, keeping all under wraps etc so it doesn't impact the title push.
We still don't know why he did it and there could be a very valid reason for it so we wait and see.

2 charges of driving whilst banned and with no insurance. He tried to get someone else to take the blame for one of them so he may be charged with perjury as well
