“How on earth does he go into training tomorrow after Sunday and be taken seriously?“
To play devils advocate a bit, how do half of the players go in to training and expect that either?
He doesn’t deserve to lose his job because you lost 5-0 in that game, if you’re judging him on results then him getting you second last year should at least buy him an opportunity to rectify it, even if it’s just a few more weeks.
He will lose it at some point. If you weren’t calling for it before the start of the season as the limitations were evident a long time ago anyway, I don’t get why call for it now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Melts..... Liverpool are our biggest fixture and rival. It's not you lot and it never will be.
Losing 5-0 at home to the vermin is a sackable offence. End of story. And there was already a lot of warning signs as you eluded to. Something has to be the final column to fall though. Liverpool defeat was the last of Jose too.
I just don't see how he can carry on. You can't get rid of all your players when the window is shut either. You can change the manager though.

Because Ole committed the most stupid of mistakes. Setting up like he did against Liverpool and proving Scholes right. The kind of naivety that the players surely acknowledge as a sacking offence. Out of the title race in October and only lost 5-0 because Liverpool cared more for their players safety than running up a score.

No surprise here if true.
MUFC have invested heavily on Ole and his programme for the future in the summer and seem to believe in it. I would think they would be very hesitant to chuck it all in the bin after just 9 games.
In fact the more you think about it it would be crazy.
Also they will look at the CL table and see United sitting pretty
However if we continue to lose, they really will have no choice but to wield the axe.
Next 3 results should make their minds up either way.

Not just 9 games though is it, 3 games in the CL and a cup game too

If United do sack Solskjaer, the Glazers are keen to bring in a manager for the long term who shares the club’s traditions of blooding youngsters and playing attacking football.
That has put the potential appointment of Conte into doubt. The 52-year-old has never spent more than three seasons at one club and the average age of his Inter Milan team was over 30.

I can't imagine one MF making any difference in this team.
One midfielder or DM or whatever is not going to fix the poorly organised defence, the lack of instructions for players and for them to not have maguire moments.
The team is structurally a mess, with no style of play. Not even Makelele in his prime would solve the tactical flaws.

If United are a bad as you think, they will lose at Spurs and get absolutely tanked by City and then Glazer will have no option other to sack the guy. If you actually read my post this is what I advocate, too.

I’m sure we will. It’s just sad that standards are so low that we have to wait for that to happen before we bring in someone capable. We have two very important CL games coming up in the next month. Really don’t wanna take the league form into those, away from the OT lights which seem to give us a 12th man on European nights

They're not likely to sack him with United's CL position so finely poised and beating City would be a small act of redemption.
Can see him being at the wheel until at least the international break.

Ah, so only the word 'Australian' triggers you? Noted. I shall be more careful
Right, but the players can’t say too much as tactics aside, not even a few of them, the majority of them were absolutely horrific in even the basics in that game.
I get the argument he’s not up for the job, I’ve said the exact same thing across his entire tenure and thought hiring him in the first place was incredibly cynical. There’s a lot of your fanbase that didn’t think that though who are now calling for his head now before giving him a chance to even try and redeem what happened.
It’s that element I’m questioning. If you didn’t question him in the summer, then I don’t get why you’re not suggesting he should be given more time now. None of the “well it’s liverpool” romanticised b@llocks, not sure how much you remember about that 89 game SE but the fan reaction after that 5-1 game was identical to this, there just wasn’t social media to amplify it even more.

The way we are defending and not even trying we wont even beat a poor Spurs team at the weeky and Atalanta away could get embarrassing.
Id be astonished if he's still coach for the Derby despite the fact he's actt got a good record in it.

But the difference is that SAF had done enough in the game to justify continued faith in 1989, even though it was quite vitriolic. Ole hasn’t done anything in the game (as a manager) to deserve the faith he’s seemingly getting from the owners
Second place only happened last season because Liverpool were decimated with injuries and Chelsea hung onto Lampard for too long. Many suspect that kind of nuance is beyond the Glazers who just likely glanced at the table for a second and saw us above the CL winners and thought Ole is doing great

Robb chill mate. You are trying to pick a fight in a telephone box.
If United are a bad as you think, they will lose at Spurs and get absolutely tanked by City and then Glazer will have no option other to sack the guy. If you actually read my post this is what I advocate, too.

He's a nuisance this evening.

Mate, if you bring up my nationality in a passive aggressive way you’re gonna get the serve volleyed back to you 🧟
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, so only the word 'Australian' triggers you? Noted. I shall be more careful

Only four words trigger me. ‘Australian’ and ‘Ole is staying’
Other than those it’s fair game

They're not likely to sack him with United's CL position so finely poised and beating City would be a small act of redemption.
Can see him being at the wheel until at least the international break.

No that's what you're hoping for......
The way we are defending and not even trying we wont even beat a poor Spurs team at the weeky and Atalanta away could get embarrassing.
Id be astonished if he's still coach for the Derby despite the fact he's actt got a good record in it.

Nothing triggers you more than criticisms of Lukaku.

In a way, yes but what I said makes sense. If you were nailed on to qualify for the ko stages of the CL then maybe it would be a good time to get rid - But you're not.
