"What Is Class?"
It's the stuff my specs are made of but I can't find them...
have 5 stars my man. Id give you ten if i could.
sounds like while claiming not to have come to a conclusion, you really have. for someone who speaks in a disinterested sort of way, you really have been paying close attention to the to and fro'ings of another teams manager.
ofcouse number 7 you have absolutely no interest in the going ons at rangers right?
Gees a break. I think what the op is saying is factually correct
I am disinterested in Neil Lennon as a person, I have no feelings towards him. I dont have feelings towards Tevez or Mancini but I can have an opinion or interest in what happens at Man City. Its the same at Celtic and this is based on my observations of the match. As a football fan who watched the game I was interested in his thoughts, you always get plenty of them when he wins. Its just disappointing that he isnt as keen to offer any when his team loses. I havent been paying any particular close attention to any of his to and fro'ings, just his general manner when he loses. I would say the same of any other manager. For example this afternoon in Tottenham v Arsenal I always stay tuned after the games to get the opinion of both managers.
Number7
Why don't you break the mould of many Celtic fans who write on these boards? Instead of having a go at the messenger, as is so common on here, why don't you address the guy's message?
The op raises a few good points so instead of having a wee dig at him for raising them, answer some of them!
talking of after match interviews, i thought the zaliukas' interview was a painful watch to say the least
Managers usually dont say anything which strays from the usual cliche ridden rhetoric in post match interviews so little of any real interest can really be gleaned from them. Of course unfortunately we cannot all live up to the high standards set by Rangers FC and their fans when it comes to class. Both have behaved in such a way that only commendations and recommendations could come from their way from any relevant authorities. That is why when rangers fans speak about class their opinions really do demand serious attention
Well then seven, as a celtic supporter who should be interested in the twosnfros...would you say it was an innacurate observation, or otherwise.
professor - the OP comes on here feigning interest in Lennon and pretends a degree of impartiality. He then uses Lennon's appearance or not in front of a post match camera as a criteria for measuring class. It is my considered opinion that if Lennon did every post match interview and spouted the usual nonsense then rangers fans would find another way to measure class and probably that measure would be some failing they claimed to see in the Celtic manager. Should i really take his rather stereo typical opinion with any seriousness? yes - but he will have to do better than post what amounts to just another Lennon has no class post. Boring!!!
Seven - I am a Rangers fan who has never had trouble at a match in my life, but are you saying that all Rangers fans are not allowed an opinion on anything in the game because of the actions of a few. I would remind you that there is only one team in Glasgow who have had to play home matches in Europe behind closed doors or at a neutral venue due to the actions of fans. Anyway thats a different matter.
With regards my point if my manager patronised me in such a way I would see through it. Id want to know his thoughts after another defeat. If hes going to stay behind after games to shake the hands of players id want him to do it win lose or draw. If hes going to run over to applaude me after a game id want him to do it regardless of the score. If hes going to have banter with opposing fans id be fine with that but id want to see it every week. Bottom line its not the actions of a top manager or man.
So basically seven...you didn`t actually READ the o.p.
Smid - Alex Ferguson has had more run in's with more opposing fans, managers, journalists and pundits than just about anyone else in British football. Does he have 'class' because while behaving appallingly over the years he has managed to to be successful. Your own Mr Dignity, Walter Smith behaved worse than Neil Lennon has done down the years. Now i'm sure you will find a way to excuse Smith and Ferguson, but are you honestly saying that Lennon has behaved worse than these two and by the sound of it worse than any manager in the history of Scottish football? Why is Lennon your benchmark for lack of dignity? Is it because he really is the most badly behaved manager or is it because your tedious agenda must always find a way to surface itself?

IR A Songheet out today and Hearts fans arrested I wonder if the media will report it or sweep it under the carpet.
Even big tony mobray had enough class to roll out the old "take it on the chin" routine. Young neil offered no praise for hearts today. No class, no doubt.
Bluebird - yes I read the OP - when Lennon congratulates the fans he shows no class, when he doesn't he shows no class. When Lennon has banter with opposing fans he shows no class, when he doesn't ditto. When Lennon gives an interview and defends his players - no class when he doesn't give an interview no class.
The bottom line is Rangers fans deem what is and isn't class, get to set its definitions. By just sheer coincidence the Celtic manager is the personification of this classlessness and who says so - Rangers fans.
so yes I did read it. I read the words and I read between the lines. Neither made much sense or deserved much respect.
Don't see the point in interviewing the losing manager/players anyway far too soon after the match to be rational..

When did Walter cup his ears to the celtic fans after an old firm game, quite simply, inflamatory behaviour. NO CLASS!!!
Cohort - that is a rational definition and deserves some credence. However what is relevant or rational has no real worth on an OF board. It's all about point scoring and one uppmanship. Please leave your common sense at the door.
Seven.....at last you,ve got it, Lennon has no class.
Walter Smith behaved worse than Neil Lennon has done down the years.
made up lies
Bluebird - you illustrate my point perfectly
