Surely the biggest asterisk of Hamilton's first title was the Crashgate scandal, where a race was literally rigged in order to deny Massa a win?

Had that race been null and void as it should have been, Massa would have one title, Hamilton would have none and he likely wouldn't have lasted in the sport for much longer due to his bottling tendencies and would probably now be selling discount rugs in a Hammersmith flea market.

I mean if we want to re-write history, let's do it properly.

Hamilton went off track to hold onto P1, didn’t give the place up.
Had he done so, he might have been in Verstappens position to take advantage of the safety car / VSC.

Red Bull had the balls to make the changes and Mercedes were too hesitant.

Max Verstappen is world champion and it won’t be the only championship either.

How good would it have been if Masi hadn't let the lapped cars overtake the leader, but they all let Verstappen pass them quickly so as not to interfere with the DC decider, and Verstappen managed to get past Hamilton before the finish line
