I have a feeling this #F1 result may get overturned. Looking at the sporting regs, it’s hard to say protocol was followed, it’s hard to argue it’s a fair finish…interesting few hours ahead…
Or…… fair thing to do is let’s have a decider fair and square.
If they don’t, this will end up in a high court. The Netflix show has influenced the race director at the end there - if the dice rolls on a 6 for Merc, you can’t change it to a 5 just for the show. The world was watching & all the new & old fans are baffled…
Saw an analogy that summer this up well.
Its like a team leading 4-0 going into injury time and the ref deciding it is next goal wins.

First time I had seen a Formula 1 race in years. Won't be coming back to it now I know cheating is rife in the sport.

It’s been the best season in years with an equally incredible finish. I’m struggling to see how anyone cheated though?

And then the team that was behind getting a dodgy VAR pen that should be overruled and hasn't been yet but maybe or maybe not.

The people in charge did. Cheated Lewis out of a win.
Its similar to utd getting a var pen after the final whistle had gone.
VAR here will give max a 5sec pen and Lewis will be world champion. Controversial but the correct outcome

Max will not be given a penalty. What would he be given it for? Following the instructions of the FIA? They might decide to declare the order as it was at the time of the safety car coming out but they won't give any penalties to Max, nor should they.
I used to love F1 in the days of Hunt, Mansell, Hill and Senna but I just fell out of love with it ages ago when it became too predictable at the same time as all the money from tobacco sponsorship went so that eventually meant less competition.
Also too many rule changes that have made everything too safe like taking away any risky over taking that was really exciting and sorry to say that making F1 so safe with stuff like HALO has made it too boring for me not that I want to see drivers killed but there just doesnt seem to be any danger element so no risk element and the drivers have become like robots with personalities to match but hey each to their own and I have to accept there are millions of people who still love the sport but Id rather watch wheelchair rugby...
now those guys really go at it and it is brutal.

Absolutely. His job isn't to make the title decider more nail biting. The one question that has to be asked is would he have made that call if it wasn't the title decider in the final race of the season? If he answers that honestly, I think we know what the answer would be. And it's unforgivable
Hamilton fans happy enough with the decision at the start of race just not the end
Max overrtook under the safety car so can and should be given a 5 sec penalty

Ffs he didn't overtake under the safety car. He had 1 inch of his nose in front for less than 1 second. You could argue that Lewis was break testing him if you want to go to such levels of pedantry. Mercedes put that particular protest in out of desperation and according to Sky Sports F1 don't think there's a strong chance of it being successful.
However, their argument about the rules being applied incorrectly is much much stronger. It's a right mess, and entirely unnecessary
Fixed?! Who knows?

Mercedes were penalised for a wing infringement which as less than 0.1cm so Max overtaking Lewis was illegal
Lewis break testing him is nonsense as he is within his rights as effectively he is the safety car so as long as its not sudden decrease which it wasn't then it isn't a valid argument. Its Max's responsibility to stay behind Lewis and he didn't
Its a technicality but its a get out clause to get to the right result. Max doesn't deserve to be world champion. Totally outclassed again today and Masi fooked up under pressure from Horner begging for 1 lap
I think life is ok if you accept that a fair few of these sporting moments will be fixed. Certainly the big ones. Once you're ok with the idea you can just take it for what it is - entertainment.
Masi is a kaant even in last race the Ref Flag should have been before Hamilton and Bottas did pits tops the guy has been trying to fix it for Red Bull from day one.
