My argument is solid. Any manager tightens us up, we didn't have that option because our squad is thin in key positions. Fact!
I pointed out an option Cinci. when you said we had none.

Amusing to review cinci’s comments on these match threads occasionally.
With Raul’s incident the initial comment was could be a yellow for that. Then others point out it wasn’t even a foul. Next comment - yeah ridiculous decision
Then later said wish we had gone for it rather than sitting on the lead. Today the view is the obvious thing would have been to have sat on the lead but we didn’t have the players to do it
Many of us disagree on opinions, cinci disagrees with himself

I don't see anywhere where i said it was a yellow? So that is lie number one
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I enjoyed how Spangles had to disappear, because Amiga was talking about moving Saiss into midfield. Spangles has long said that Saiss isn't good enough as a midfielder, but commenting now would mean siding with you rather than Amiga; so he left instead.
I agree Saiss isn't good enough as a midfielder. But we are talking about holding onto a lead, with a team down to ten men. Saiss could well be the perfect option.
So If Spangles wants to agree with me, his argument still stands.
What a day
Ferrari on pole and Italy win in the rugby
Whilst ranting about last nights match ther is one issue I didn't mention: Podence.
I think the guy is a good footballer and we are lucky to have him at the moment. However, how many times last night and in matches in general does he go down at the slightest knock (yes I know he's only 3 feet 6), and then proceeds to writhe around in agony before finally getting up and continuing as if nothing has happened.
I realise this is a modern day problem with all teams, and most players, but when one of our players does it I find it particularly annoying. Moutinho is another who does it but Podence is the worst culprit.
Is this a smallist comment?

Sadly tam I’m not as pathetic as you with regard to picking sides. I went cycling, astonishingly I don’t sit all day looking at 606. I don’t think Saiss is good enough to be a premier league midfielder, if you know that why raise the question?
By the way, with regard to your little naughty book that contains me, wolfie and Amiga, I had a chat with the ten year old daughter of our neighbours recently and she keeps a little book of who she does and doesn’t like in her class. So I now fully understand how these things work

Podence is prone to the occasional dive and to feigning injuries. It is something that’s common in the modern game but not something I like to see from Wolves players. He isn’t the only one but is the one that does it most

I don't know if the ref's decision to award Raul a second yellow was correct or not but what I do think is that Raul's challenge on the keeper was rash in the extreme. It resulted in both players being injured and the keeper having to be subbed.
Thinking back to Raul's other red in the game against City, again, even though he was on a yellow he made a silly and unnecessary decision to hold up play by preventing City from taking a free kick.
I sometimes wonder what is going on in these footballer's heads when they make these irrational decisions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dunno gem, i think i would have been a little annoyed if he hadn't gone for it, it was as 50/50 as they come and if he gets there first it is 3-0
Hindsight is a wonwerful thing, isn't it. All this, what if this, what if that. At the end of the day, it's the players on the field who were at fault yesterday, not the formation.
For my two penneth, I'd have take Ait-Nouri off (who I think is a little overrated) and brought on Marcal.
I think the keeper went in to take the ball and Raul. He succeeded and Raul got sent off for it.

I filtered you cinci many years ago. You didn’t know that? So I rarely see anything you post. So on the vast majority of occasions I post something I haven’t got a clue whether I am agreeing with you or not. Yet now I’m accused of going silent when you post something I agree with
But yet today you referred to two views of mine, wrongly i might add
There's a good chance Spangles and Wolfie are the same person. Both log out to see what people they have filtered say.
Just read an article about last night’s referee Kevin Friend. After a number of low rated performances he was relegated to the championship last week and refereed an Albion game. He missed what was evidently a stonewall penalty and after the game apologised to Steve Bruce for making the mistake.
So he was relegated, screwed up at a lower level, then was reinstated to the Premier League just in time to screw up at Molineux
His performance was the worst I have seen since the Championship days.
The guys on Sky Sports were talking about the sending off and to a man they agreed it was not a sending off offence or even a booking just a coming together of two players. They then pitched into VAR and felt that there should be some sort of input from ex players.
