Only seems like a few days ago that the club was reporting a fully fit squad. Now we have Neves, Semedo, Neto out, three of our best players. Not helpful in our fight to get into a European spot

Cundle's chance then if he wants it. Semedo is back in "modified" training too whatever that means. Sounds positive though.

Debatable whether we'll see Neves play again this season then. As is often the case, seemed such an innocuous incident when he went down. Played on for a while too which can't have helped.

so so glad we didn't spend any money on 5hit players in January or we'd be back down to promoting our U23's again

At least we don't have to worry about Neves picking up a suspension for 10 bookings.

too soon, far too sooon

Neto has been out for quite some time and we're in 8th place. We scored two goals after Neves left the field, but we will miss his presence in midfield for sure.

However, Cundle and Trincao have both done well when asked to fill any void and Toti provides more cover on the left.

Saiss can operate in midfield and Fabio now has another chance to impress and in my opinion should be ahead of Hwang anyway.

So instead of folks wetting their pants because Neves is out, they should relax, as he would most likely have picked up another yellow very soon and missed a couple of games. After all, there's only 8 more games left and we're only 2 points behind West Ham.

We have another 10 day before our next match, so I hope some on here stay away from the cliffs edge.

You might even be surprised by the players coming in to cover for our wounded warriors.

Perm any 11 from:-

Sa, Kilman, Coady, Boly, Toti, Jonny, Moutinho, Dendonker, Trincao, Marcal, Saiss, Cundle, Ait-Nouri, Podence, Fabio.

We can still make 7th despite the Doom and Gloomers.

Cundle has played one game and made a few late sub appearances.

However, Cundle and Trincao have both done well when asked to fill any void and Toti provides more cover on the left.

Never saw Cundles league debut but people say he kept things simple that's all when and good but it's not gonna win us games, I saw him vs Sheff Utd in the cup and again he looked tidy

The trincao comment is more laughable than your usual standard, he's criticised regularly on this board, had a great cameo the other day no doubt but to say he's done well whenever needed is a feckin stretch

You know the worst thing about this though, we'll probably finish somewhere between 11th & 14th.
