So Robb, with your prophecy in tatters, will you back ETH fully?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ll back him fully but my opinion that he’s not as good as my first choices remains. I understand there’s not much between Poch and Ten Hag and I really won’t argue Poch is a much better choice. It’s a bit of a toss up. But I really think we needed a Conte more and he’s probably the only one who could get us up there with Klopp and Pep.
But I genuinely hope Ten Hag makes me eat my words as it’s getting boring now seeing managers come and fail. Surely someone has to get it right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, we all want ETH to succeed, playing the same brand of football that has become his trademark at Ajax.
It's going to take him time to stamp his authority over the current squad, it has too many rotten eggs in there. Hopefully, Ralf has identified those individuals and they'll be moved on before next season.
One thing that concerns me is the structure. Murtough is the DoF, would have preferred Ralf but ultimately Joel and Arnold have the last say on the squad, they could veto Murtough and the manager. It could be very much BAU but without Ed there! I just hope and pray Arnold is not another Ed.
The funniest rumour I saw this week was Ange at Celtic being the next City manager

Work rate is a big part of footy. Watch the top sides with elite players working their socks off and then watch Utd and you'll see we're nowhere near ready to challenge anyone. The table and cup exits do not lie!

Transformed them from schit show to champions in waiting quicker than anyone imagined. Will be a stepping stone between Celtic and a top job though. Plus he needs to prove it next season, he got lucky with Gerrard taking off while 4 pts clear and our new boss thinking it’s the eredivisie

What is success at United these days?
It’s all relative. If he can get you playing good football with obvious improvement then the position next season shouldn’t matter as much.
I think with the amount of work he needs to do. Top 6, some successful signings and an identity would be enough. With 2 seasons expect CL, 3 a challenge. 5 a title.

What's deluded about bringing in 4 decent players in positions we are lacking and a manager who has an identity in the way his teams play unlike the last 2 we have had?
A rb who can get forward and put in a decent ball... a cf who can find the back of the net and a cm who doesn't go missing every game would make a massive difference
