If we sign Nunez from Benfica I’d expect him to start every game as it’ll be the natural selection

If/when Ten Hag fails it’s hard to see where the club go next. What else is there to try? Maybe a peak proven winner like Conte. Or like a penalty shootout that gets to 11-11 they go back to Moyes and start again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've failed for 10 years, why think about plan B already? Even before ETH has even inked his name on the contract ffs

I'm not Maguire's biggest fan and I was against his signing but he's a better defender than what he's shown this season and I think Ten Hag will probably like his ability on the ball. Shaw too is a better defender than what we've seen this season and it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Ten Hag gets a tune out of those two as well as other players currently in the squad.
Maguire and Shaw's form last season played a pretty big part among other things in us finishing second.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't be daft, it had nothing to do with Shaw and Maguire, we only came second because of Bruno and rashford... oh and everyone else's failings

South American you say?
Kamara at marseille would be perfect for us.
Sits deep, can tackle and has a great passing range and can make the transition from back to front quickly
Most people thought LVG was a good move after Moyes. And of course the Jose fan boys came in their pants when he was appointed. And Ole was only a caretaker when he came so nobody really expected him to last 3 years, but he had a great start.
But if we still get this one wrong, we're probably facked for good as we know it..

Those things are also true though. The individual form/output of certain players plus other teams not playing as well as they would normally do and having bad luck with injuries were the biggest reasons we finished where we did.

I’d be happy with Rice, Rudiger, Lamptey and Antony
Spurs will probably get top 4 so Kane may stay there

Very few teams suffer a catastrophic CB crisis like Liverpool did though. It would be like us losing Maguire, Lindelof and Varane for most of the season at once.
We should raid ajax for Mazraoui aswell as Antony
It’ll be interesting to see if we persist with Maguire on the right. Shaw doesn’t help cover his weaknesses that well on the left when our defensive line is high.
Our results really didn't reflect the way we were performing and we were pretty fortunate to finish second because of that.

We won't sign Rice. Far too expensive.
Rudiger will join a CL team.
Lamptey is very injury prone.
Antony I could see happening though. He seems the right age and profile and obviously knows the boss. Another bleeding South American though. Hahaha

When did that ever happen?
When we had to play Carrick at cb for a dozen games
Any of Henderson, AWB, Jones, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Mata, Martial, Cavani, Ronaldo could go this summer.
That and the time it will take for the manager to install his ideas means we could be in for a tough couple f seasons, but hopefully itl be worth it.

We need to move away from making statement signings and sign players that benefits the squad and team.
Glazers are into statement signings sadly!
