The governor of Texas has said he is going to take a case to the Supreme Court to argue that the State doesn't have to provide free schooling to children because he is angry that they have to provide to immigrant children.

At almost every turn, the history of the U.S.A. is a history of all forms of racist and xenophobic violence (physical, economic, administrative) against racial minorities and immigrants from what the nativists consider the "wrong" countries.
Anyone, and I mean absolutely anyone voting Republican needs to come to terms with the fact that they are supporting a party whose only option for remaining in power involves perpetuating the ideals of white supremacy.
They've been doing this through every legislative avenue open to them, they continue to do so, and for as long as they have access to power will attempt to create whatever new legislation is necessary to allow them to cling onto power.
The average American needs to be brought round to seeing this. I am aware many will not see themselves as racist and present a different rationale for their choices and actions, but America needs to start calling things by their name.

The way that many people in that country think is unbelievable, there are many uneducated people who are happy that this nonsense continues but my son was at one of their top universities for his PhD and he was shocked that many there also loved the gun culture and the fact that health care is reserved for those who can afford insurance. If some of the top 1% of IQ people think that way there is little hope for those trapped in the truly awful education system available to most.

No, it's not. It's two separate ideas in the Amendment where someone has the right to own firearms and be involved in an organized militia.
The SCOTUS has ruled clarifying the amendment, especially where citizens have the right to own a firearm.
It's pretty straight forward. Shame (for you) that the law disagrees with you.
