They same way that every other civilised country managed. Says a lot about you that you think the US is less competent than most of the world

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It just says that millions like me will not bend over to whatever the government says.

In your country, you are a subject. In my country, I am a citizen.

If the government came to your doorstep and demanded for you to give up some of your property, I bet you'd bend over in a second and would ask for no lube.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Where did you get this "subject" nonsense.

The USA is more dangerous than Mogadishu simply because of its gun laws

"Thanks to Texas being an open carry state, I like being able to carry mine when going places"

I'm sure you do. So you can show your kids what will happen to them if they drink some beer.

No matter how many times you crybabies b!tch and whine on here about US gun laws, it's never going to change.

But I have a solution for you and it's simple: Don't like it? Don't visit or live here.

But I will never EVER give up my firearms because some maniac decided to commit a horrifying crime. I don't get to lose my right because of the actions of a few.

...and good luck to any political party over here who tries to push for a gun ban. They'll lose in all ways.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why are guns so important to you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because I have the right to shoot an intruder or defend myself and my family.

Pretty simple really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If the legislative bodies repealed rhat amendment and you didn't have that right, would you give up your guns?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Absolutely not. AND it would never be enforceable. Even Democrats own firearms and I can guarantee they wouldn't be giving them up either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Right so there we have it. You are no better than the criminals that you live in terrified fear of. You believe people who break the law should be shot yet hear you are advocating that you woild be happy to break the law.

What a hypocrite. I imagine your mother smoked heavily during pregnancy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't live in a fantasy land like you where you think millions of people in the US would give up their firearms just because the government says so.

The constitution states that any proposal to change an amendment must be done through any of the following methods:

1) Congress may submit a proposed constitutional amendment to the states, if the proposed amendment language is approved by a two-thirds vote of both houses.

2) Congress must call a convention for proposing amendments upon application of the legislatures of two-thirds of the states (i.e., 34 of 50 states).

3) Amendments proposed by Congress or convention become valid only when ratified by the legislatures of, or conventions in, three-fourths of the states (i.e., 38 of 50 states).

Given the current political climate, none of those options are capable of happening.

So, you're wasting your time trying to debate this. The REALITY is that the Second Amendment is here to stay for a long time and I will have the right to carry mine as long as i shall live.

Thanks to Texas being an open carry state, I like being able to carry mine when going places.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At least now you know how an amendment is passed.
Change from last week. You can thank me anytime.
There's another way to introduce an amendment. But it's never been used. Look it up. I'm glad I've encouraged you to educate yourself. Carry on trouper.

Ok, I get that. But it's a shame that you fear an intrusion like that is in any way likely in the first place.

I live in Spain, which has about half the per capita GDP and half the per capita income (PCI) of the U.S., but we don't have anywhere near the trouble you guys have. Your homicide rate is more than 500% larger than ours.

It would be far simplistic to put all of that down to gun ownership, but then even with our much smaller GDP and PCI, we still manage to ensure universal healthcare and education.

I think that maybe ensuring, as a society, that those who have less still have something worth keeping might be a better way of ensuring your own family's safety than gun ownership.

Last week you assured me that congress was solely responsible for passing amendments. Or did you have too many beers that day to remember?
Just say you don't know the other way to pass them.
Or as I encouraged you before, look it up.

No, I am in favor of shooting people who are a threat to my family, myself, and/or property.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Instead of focusing on how you can reduce the initial threat you prefer to let threats fester to deadly levels and then have a shootout with your assailant.

Genius.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because Mogadishu is a sh!thole. Whereas 90% of the US doesn't have the same issues at that city.

if you want an equal comparison, look to Chicago or New York
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly, more dangerous than a sheethole. Even Chicago and NY are more dangerous

Right. You said that if someone steps into your garden you would shoot them because they have broken the law.

When it was pointed out that your children have probably broken the law you laughably insisted they never would, suggesting that you still think people who break laws should be shot.

Go ahead and backtrack mutherfcker.

I don't backtrack. But you are a liar. Or, maybe you just don't remember.
