Nothing to be alarmed about. End of May was chosen because of scheduling for EFL (released in a few weeks) and everyone collectively didn’t think about the 3 combined bank holidays this week. Working through it and believe we have it resolved. Enjoy your weekend of celebrations
The recent comments from Jason Knight 'playing at the highest level' are probably the clearest indication he won't be playing at Derby. Not that we expected that he would be, however, to have a chance of clawing our way out we do need a strong midfield and the opportunity to hold onto two out of the three of Bielik, Bird, Knight would offer us the required quality.
I did dream of retaining all three but that's unlikely and the longer we go through the summer window without completion of takeover the less likely it would be we retain the nucleus of this squad.
Additionally we have one less week before the season starts due to the winter World Cup.
Desi, I'm not actually that concerned at losing someone like Knight. As much as I'd like to keep him it's inevitable some will leave. What pains me is him and others leaving for free when we could have got millions back in transfer fees which would have gone a long way to helping out next season.
Although Knight is actually one of the few still under contract so we might get £50,000 for him
So nothing now till next week perhaps Wednesday????

Stating the obvious here I know, It is an absolute sh*tshow from MM. Had he faith in the Academy ( and the patience ), holding off pulling the admin. trigger we may well have got realistic figures for our prized assets.

As a result he probably lost more in selling a third tier club rather than a second than he would have lost by financing the club until it was sold.

I used to like the Tremeloes, better with Brian Poole though.
I love Glenn Miller music, and his orchestra was never the same after he was lost.
Should you fancy depressing yourself over facts you already know, TIFO have created a YouTube post on 'The Fall Of Derby County'. I could only only watch up to the point they mention Amortization.

Hmmm... don't think I'll bother. I don't need depressing. I guess that's it for this week. The clue of course is in the phrase "bank holiday". There's been 3 this week here and USA so the buy out was never going to be quick (if it does happen). Now we're in the weekend. When you sell your house it has to be on a working day...and when you do a transaction it will often say "within 5 working days"... so there we have it...so maybe next week.... but for now.....its all gone quiet over there, oh its all gone quiet over there....
I missed the anniversary of the date Sir Brian became the Rams Manager, 1st of June 1967.
It seems a long long time ago.
we will never ever see the like again.

Well, the situation is understandable... but nevertheless irritating....
I will write a post so someone can put the 100 up. Do I believe Kirchner has the money? No I don't. Do I believe Mike Ashley is hovering like a vulture ready pick up a bargain? Yes I do.
Well if he does not have the money an awful lot of people are going to look like prize idiots and by the way, it's not the hope that kills you it's the waiting.
