Pretty sure he's going to Spurs due to loving life in Richmond (Surrey) along with massive ties to Conte, Tottenham and the fans. Not to mention the CL pull.
Don't hate this. Player is available on a free, and will add to squad depth now that Pogba, Lingard, Mata and Matic are off.
As long as transfers for our primary midfield targets (De Jong etc.) will still be concluded.
Quality player, wherever he ends up

Agree with this.
didnt the spurs fans want him lynched when he went last time after he pretty much downed tools before he left for inter
Why do United keep going after players who are in negotiations with clubs in a better position than them? Are they trying to lure them with crazy wages or something?

The one roadblock for Spurs is that Levy is stingy with the salary, which was the reason he left in the first place, no? Given he is 30 and this is his last payday, we could outbid them on the package.
Except, that is an Ed Woodward tactic that got us to where we are. Were meant to be moving away from that.

Misplaced arrogance? Hope?
Probably big money with a side of selling the dream of playing for a once great club under ETH and bringing them back to their glory days.
But yeah, mainly false hope and a wad of cash
Eriksen has been available for weeks and now you make an offer for him.
Does this mean De Jong has said no?
Would be a good option to bring in for a couple of years.

They're just pulling the same tricks as our owners, making it look like they're doing something by going for unrealistic targets.

It never got to Adebayor territory but yeah some of us weren't happy. That's not to say you can just erase all the quality and joy he brought us in the years he played well, and he looks back to his best.
Are we supposed to stay mad at him?

Well we clearly are. He would love to play in the Champions League. The better part of your offer would be money and..?
Where would he fit in at Spurs?

He definitely caused a rift with the fans as he wasn’t at his best and was pulling out of challenges as he was clearly protecting himself for his free transfer
After what happened though it’s all forgiven and he would be welcomed back with open arms ….especially as we know we would be getting the player we signed not the one that left
I think he’d get more playing time with us.

Playing for a bigger club. And he didn't exactly have a great time with Conte at Inter. That could be a factor.
