Interesting to hear that rivals fans think we will fare worse this season than the absolute disaster zone of Ole with the wheels come off and Rangnick ball.

If Erik Ten Hag is as good as he is hyped up to be we should be a lot better this season. Nowhere near the top two but behind Westham? Really? If we can finish above them when the club is at war with itself and no actual manager then I'd fancy our chances with Erik.

I'm predicting 4th or 5th place for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I reckon United will finish top four, probably at the expense of Liverpool. United are not as bad as lots make out. Just need a bit of stability and organisation.

They beat them 4-0 in pre season saw won't be surprised if they finish ahead of them.

We definitely won't finish above City and Liverpool. However I'm not ruling out finishing above any of the other top 6.

Anywhere from 3rd to 6th is possible. Ten Hag looks like he's got into this squad already so I'm expecting good things. City and Liverpool are just too far ahead though.

He seems like a no nonsense manager and I think that's what your lot need.
It will be interesting to see how you get on this season.

stranger things have happened liverpool or city might slip but they obviously are the best on paper

not much between Chelsea, Spurs, United and maybe Arsenal

posted on 22/7/22

Chelsea and Spurs are well ahead of Utd imo, Arsenal a bit too.

How many Utd players would WALK into Chelsea or Spurs side? None? One? Could say the same for Arsenal tbh.

Where’s all this confidence coming from from Spurs fans?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They signed a 34 year old left back or sommat
----------------------------------------------------------------------

33 year old multiple Champions league winner on a free, whereas you guys signed the Uruguayan Triple H look alike
----------------------------------------------------------------------

With bags of potential and @ 22 years of age a great prospect
----------------------------------------------------------------------

an £85m great prospect

Surely that sum gets you the real deal ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we pay £85m for him then that would mean we would have won the title and CL and he played a big part in them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

According to Record, Liverpool will have to pay £4.3m when Nunez plays ten matches for the Reds.

Then after 60 games for the Premier League side, Benfica will receive another £8.6m for the man who scored 34 times for them last season.

The remaining £8.6m is related to performance-based objectives, both on a personal and collective level.

So thats £78m for 60 apps - for context, the Ox has made +90 apps for LFC.

There there is about £9m for personal and team achievements, so really the addons are loaded more on appearances and personal achievements than winning titles etc So you could still end up paying £80m plus without winning a bean or him being particularly successful .

Pretty much every clueless poster on this site, to a man, has said negative things about the transfer so you just know he is going to rip it up

I think if you paid £40m for him, most would see that as the going rate and a player who has potential and may or may not be a success. Youve paid way over this which is why it attracts a lot of negativity and doubt

Well let’s hope we pay the full 85 million.

He’s 22 and a goal scorer, he’ll do well with us.

He’ll get plenty of chances that’s for sure the way we play.

That's the FIFA generation.

Personally I care about how good he is at football and we're the 4th richest club on the planet so truly not bothered.

He's score 100 goals for Liverpool over his time with us I'd have thought.

Ropey AF goalkeeping.

I do like the second finish though, good movement, good acceleration and tidy finish. Good movement for the third too.

Touch does look a bit dodgy though.

They don't learn

Chelsea will finish above them for me.

Chillwell and James both back to full fitness too, they really missed them for large parts of last season.

A massive part of their attack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
^^ This, surprised they are not tipping themselves for the league.

Overrating

We’ve been pretty consistent now for the last 4-5 years
