What constitutes rubbish? For their level they are very good, and would run rings around most male sides that play on the same level as them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Their level is England Internationals. Are you seriously suggesting they would run rings around the England International team?
Even Andorra men would score double figures against them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
some of the best women's international teams have actually played against male teams
u14 boys academy teams usually win by 4 or 5 goals when playing top women teams
top women's football is basically at the standard of u12/u13 academy level boys football

I had no idea (Leah Williamson), and am very surprised.
As to the remainder of your point, agree on all fronts: yes, even though I don’t know what kind of viewing figures it gets, the women’s game seems to be growing very rapidly. I would speculatively suggest that the people/companies that are pouring money into the game via sponsorships and the likes have identified its growth potential and want to be sure they get in at the ground level, much like the foreign investors disembarked in the PL long before it grew into the beast it’s become.
None of that, however, addresses the point I initially made, which pertained to how much the men and women get paid by their national FAs. I’m not even sure if you were actually trying to counter that comment, because with all due respect, I don’t see how your later posts -interesting as the are on their own- reply to that one in any way. Perhaps you’re just expanding the field of discussion, which is fair enough.

It's clearly not rubbish. Due to the physicality, it's never going to be as good as the Men's game but their technique has improved loads in the last 20-30 years. I like watching as I do a game down the park between the dog and duck and kings head!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look I think it is rubbish. You think it is great.
Surprise, surprise, differing opinions on a football forum. Who would have thought.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you against properly finding woman’s football so they can improve and expand their game beyond the boundaries of, in your opinion, playing on the same level as u15 boys? Or should it be ignored forever and kept exactly how it is due to them being female?

Aren’t these age categories about age at the time of registration, and counterintuitively include the actual age mentioned? At least that’s the way it goes in international categories, and often means that by the time the finals are played, a number of nominally “U18” players are actually closer to 20.

if your talking about 2 year campaign then yes but at u15 thats not the case.
the quals for say a world cup at U18's and the world cup itself is 2 year gap. if you were eligible at the quals stage you will still be eligible for the finals.
thats not he case at U15 level they dont have tournaments that take place over 2 years

Worth reminding people that post war, the womens game was more popular than the mens game, so the government banned womens football.
So if I were a woman, I’d feel pretty bitter about the gap in wages and I’d be looking for some manual overriding to level things up.

Very doubt if that is true Winston. I know Spurs were getting 70,000 crowds in the old 2nd division post war, don`t know of any women`s team ever get anywhere near those sort of crowds. Unless you can tell me otherwise.

(And out of curiosity, which women player is on 200k/week plus perks, and which club in women’s football is paying those wages?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Leah Williamson - arsenal
every year the women get paid more, because they are bringing in more money.
the paid a fraction of what male players get paid cos they bring in a fraction of what the male game does
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I had no idea (Leah Williamson), and am very surprised.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
sorry i said 200k per week, i meant per annum. basic pay.
she will earn over 500k this year. its a pittance in comparison to mens game but thye bring in a pittance of revenue in comparison
----------------------------------------------------------------------
however what you mihgt see in the coming cople of years is complaints as the profile of the game rises and incomes rise but the women are still on the same contract they signed 2 years ago so out of the loop, but thats ways gonna be the case in football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, that figure makes much more sense.
I’m not against women earning in accordance with the revenues they generate when it comes to professional clubs. As I said though, I don’t see why the same arguments should hold for national teams for the reasons already explained - namely, than revenue generation is not the FAs primary concern. Growing the game via the nurturing of grassroots football is of a much greater importance, and it’s patently obvious that the women’s game is far and away where the greatest growth potential lies. Investing in the WNT seems like a good strategy for ensuring that the game is taken up by more kids. All in all, it seems a pretty sensible approach to take.

Worth reminding people that post war, the womens game was more popular than the mens game, so the government banned womens football.
So if I were a woman, I’d feel pretty bitter about the gap in wages and I’d be looking for some manual overriding to level things up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very doubt if that is true Winston. I know Spurs were getting 70,000 crowds in the old 2nd division post war, don`t know of any women`s team ever get anywhere near those sort of crowds. Unless you can tell me otherwise.

What constitutes rubbish? For their level they are very good, and would run rings around most male sides that play on the same level as them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Barcelona woman’s got 91k earlier in the season.
Do some research big man.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it isn't. A WSL team would hammer a boys U13 academy team

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4389760/USA-women-s-team-suffer-5-2-loss-FC-Dallas-U-15-boys.html
"The USA women's football team were convincingly beaten by a team of adolescents in a embarrassing defeat for the world champions. They were roundly outplayed, losing 5-2 against FC Dallas Under-15s academy side who took full advantage of their big day".

"Australia’s women’s football team are ranked the fifth best side in world football. So how did they lose 7-0 to a collection of 15-year-old boys? "2016
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You said U12/U13's
There's a big difference in a 12 year old and 15 year old.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
u15 generally means 14 yr olds
basically as soon as boys start adolescence, they batter women
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aren’t these age categories about age at the time of registration, and counterintuitively include the actual age mentioned? At least that’s the way it goes in international categories, and often means that by the time the finals are played, a number of nominally “U18” players are actually closer to 20.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i'm going by what I noticed in the years I spent watching academy level football in England
u12s would be 11 year old's
u14s would be 13 year old's
etc
Don't know if this is the same elsewhere or at international level tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
U12 can be and will be 11 and 12. Like I said there'a massive difference between 11-12 and 14-15 year olds.
There's no way a 11-12 year old would compete with the Chelsea Ladies side

(And out of curiosity, which women player is on 200k/week plus perks, and which club in women’s football is paying those wages?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Leah Williamson - arsenal
every year the women get paid more, because they are bringing in more money.
the paid a fraction of what male players get paid cos they bring in a fraction of what the male game does
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I very much doubt she is on 200k a week, that would outstrip most of the Arsenal Prem players wages. More like 200k a year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
sorry i said 200k per week, i meant per annum. basic pay.
she will earn over 500k this year. its a pittance in comparison to mens game but thye bring in a pittance of revenue in comparison
