Well at least Mitrovic won't be able to beast Coady

Huge game this. Fulham will be playing with confidence and nothing to lose, the exact opposite of us.

I hope I'm wrong, but I can see the atmosphere turning toxic if we're 2-0 down after half hour.

"the exact opposite of us." . . . not sure about that.

We lost an away game narrowly and, arguably, were the better side for much of the match. Don't see any chance of us taking the field with little confidence.

It might be quite different in the following match, away at Spurs, if we happen to lose this one.

Agreed. That's why I said this is a huge game

I'm sure there will be 38 huge games for every side, we're no exception. Surely someone who's as "smart" as you, would realize that.

I’m what way have Fulham got nothing to lose? Last time they played at this level they got relegated and getting a draw in their first match hasn’t ruled out that happening again

As for the Wolves crowd I don’t have the slightest doubt that the online forums will be in meltdown if we do anything but win. But ever since Fosun arrived at the club the atmosphere at Molineux had been fantastic and I don’t see that changing just because we concede first on Saturday. I’m sure there are the best part of 30,000 people who are looking forward to the first home game as much as I am. Bring it on

They’ve got nothing to lose because it’s a free hit for them. Nobody expects them to get anything away from home against a fantastic home support and a team that has what must be one of the best front lines in the division! 😂😂

Makes far more sense than talking about a toxic atmosphere. Keep learning from me

2-1 wolves for me Gem, think you will come back from 1-0 down

Didn't we boo the side toward the end of last season?

A draw I reckon. Think Fulham will be fine this season. Wish we had signed Mitrovic when they got relegated one time.

Yeah. There were boos at both half time and full time when we lost to Brighton.

We need to be a little realistic with regards to the mood right now. I personally am certainly not at 'shat the bed' stage and think Bruno deserves backing from fans and of course the club but we are currently at 8 games without a win and 3 wins in the last 15. A slip up against Palace which likely would be followed by nothing against Spurs and things will start to get quite edgy.

Pretty sure they had arrived when we played Brighton in April?

Keep participating on the online forums though, it's the only slice of reality you get!!

Congratulations on finding an isolated case where a minority booed. Next challenge, find a match thread where nobody moaned

posted on 10/8/22

I never said that since Fosun arrived nobody has ever moaned on the match threads though?

It was only a minority that booed at the end. The majority had already left before the final whistle!!

Still plenty of tickets remaining in all areas of the ground for the much anticipated seasons opener in 3 days time.

Bring it on

With regard to the debate about Coady I find myself agreeing with parts of what different people are saying. I think with Kilman, Collins, Boly, Toti and Mosquera we are fine as far as centre backs go and I think all 5 of those are a better fit in a back 4 than Coady. Always felt you play him in the middle of a back 3 or you don’t play him.

What i don’t agree with is letting him go on loan rather than getting a fee for him. Even selling him for £12m would have been very cheap to me for a player who has had 4 good premier league seasons in that position and become an international. When we are looking to sell to buy that makes no sense to me. I’m sure a number of clubs would have been willing to pay a decent fee if 343 was their set up

Not sure anyone can categorically say that Toti and Mosquera are better in a back 4 than Coady.

posted on 10/8/22

Don’t know what makes something categorical in that respect, people will have different views about players with a much longer history than Toti and Mosquera. I think Coady in a back 4 is poor, and I would have confidence that those two would do a better job. Just an opinion

Hearing rumours of a big bust up between Lage and Coady last week, that's why the loan deal was rushed through without thought for the finances.

What a shambles.

I think talk of a bust up is dramatising a quite simple situation. Bruno decided to go with a back 4 and Coady wasn’t going to fit into that. So he was unhappy at being sidelined at a club he’s loved being with. I think Bruno then took the view that having an unhappy captain and big influence at the club wasn’t healthy for anyone so they agreed to release him.

On instagram yesterday his wife posted that it was good to see him with a smile on his face for the first time in a month. Coady’s love of being at Wolves and being the captain and leader was genuine. So obviously he was unhappy when that was coming to an end
