Blind could also be a contender for best drum intro and best base intro.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it as good as Ace of Spades ♠️?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it's not even as good as ace of base

A very short intro but classic none the less and is expanded on further deeper into the song is Never Going Back Again. Lindsay is a genius for sure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The live version of "Big Love" too... stunning
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some decent Lana Del Rey guitar intros, off the top of my head:
Brooklyn Baby
West Coast
Cruel World
Florida Kilos
Sigur Rose have lotsa grate intros like in E-Bow, Dudedadaloggin n Pooplagid
4za doing a great job of translating icelandic into pidgin italian.
also sabotage by the beastie boys
Arctic Monkeys - Do I wanna know

John Mayer has some good acoustic intros. Stop This Train is another one I tried to learn.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've tried to learn Neon. No idea how he plays and sings that one.

This Charming Man by The Smiths has an awesome guitar intro.
Johnny Marr
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How could I forget! I recently read Johnny Marr’s autobiography. Great read, especially on Audible with the man himself narrating!
AC/DC Back in Black...
Lynyrd Skynyrd Sweet Home Alabama....
Dire Straits Money for Nothing...
The Eagles Hotel Calafornia...
Guns N Roses Sweet Child of Mine...
Fade out/Street Spirit by Radiohead.
They are certainly some of my favourites and ones I can actually do half justice to on my old Epiphone Casino!
White stripes Black math is also pretty good.

Guess it’s not so rock or metal but Don’t Think Twice by Dylan
Ten Years Gone - Zeppelin
I'd also go with This Charming Man. Another blue, Billy Duffy with She Sells Sanctuary, class intro.
How soon is now? (Even though it’s the same throughout the song) is pretty cool.

I saw the Cult do that live in Washington DC around 2003.
I learnt to play guitar many moons ago with House of the Rising Sun by The Animals, Daytripper by The Beatles and Chuck Berry's Johnny be good probably the grand daddy of all rock n roll guitar intro's.

Astbury was totally hammered. He nearly fell of the stage and was propped up by the security.
