you are aware how much profit Tesla make of their cars in comparison to other companies arent you Amiga?
I suspect not otherwise "Tesla do differ from other companies though. Their priority is not profit. It is innovation that happens to drive profit." wouldnt have been said. Tesla makes around 5 times the profit per car as the lies of GM or Ford do. So I aint buying the whole not driven by profits stuff. they care about them enough to make much more money of their clients than other rival companies do.

And how does any of that relate to being able to say no other company would have allowed that specific scenario you described to have taken place.
Sandy Munroe has seen it with his own eyes. He understands how companies typically operate, and how differently Tesla do it.
I could point you to some videos,

This is not really talking of how Tesla operate differently, just how much innovation is in their product.

I am not making that assumption. I am passing on what someone in the industry is saying. He has worked in these companies, he knows how they operate, and he knows how differently Tesla do things.
Like I said there are many videos pointing to this, not just from Sandy. But if you don't want to listen to the experts, there is no point me trying to convince you.

ok your you are using someone elses assumption and taking it as fact.
Have you no comment on Tesla not being driven by profit claim?
Munro acknowledges that both the Tesla Model Y and the Ford Mach E are pretty much the same cost to make but Tesla sell for a far higher profit margin?
Surely if they are all about innovation, technology and sharing that technology with people and prioritise that over profits like you suggest then they should lower the prices to make similar profits margins (well less if they really wanna say its not driven by profit) as their rivals do and therefore make their designs more accessible to the people ?
lets also just pretend that after Sandy owned shares in Tesla prior to making the video you posted and sold them after making it.
It's not an assumption. A guy who works in the industry is telling you how Tesla operate differently. He is not the only one btw.
I did not say Tesla does not want to make profits, I said that is not what is driving them, it is innovation. which leads to profits. So while other companies focus on the bottom line, Tesla focus on making the best product they can.
Again I could point to videos showing this.
Oh as for the Shares. It is actually an interesting story. Sandy who's company now break down vehicles and sell their reports. Got an early Model 3, on first inspection he was not impressed, and said as much. It was only once he got deep into the technology Tesla were using that he was blown away by what they were doing. So much so that he immedietely started investing in them.
As it turned out he was right to. But to make sure there was no conflict of interest, he sold them. But he bought them because of what he recognised was next level engineering.

but at the same time look to squeeze much more money out their customers than they need to in order to further increase their products. its not just a little bit of difference in profits its much much more almost as much as 5 times the amount of their rivals such as ford and GM.
they rip off their customers more than any other car company out there. their statement is to accelerate the worlds transition to sustainable energy and they do this by overpricing their product? that seems a bit hypocritical does it not?
Tesla are making the best products they can, they are also milking the profits massively on this, but at the same time want everyone to transition..... well everyone who can afford to pay the overinflated prices of their products.
Is anything I have said here false?
* further increase their profits.
Demand for Tesla's is far outstripping supply. Tesla have been raising prices to try and dampen demand, so people do not have to wait a year or more for their cars.
Tesla's are profiting from the quality of their work, which is to their credit. Something I have been trying to point out.
Tesla are dominating the EV sector for a reason.
yes Im sure Tesla its etracting every little bit of profit from the customers as they can .... to avoid selling too many.
This may be a little more believable had Tesla not taking 650,000 orders for a truck that is still in design phase. Its not even got a production time deadline agreed.
whodunnit, whatever you may think about Tesla, the facts are simple. Demand is far outweighing supply. Their products are some of the most impressive on the market, and people are willing to pay to get them.
If demand wasn't there, then Tesla would almost certainly reduce prices. While demand outstrips supply, it makes no sense for Tesla to reduce prices and push up demand further.

That truck you seen that he displayed is not what will release. It doesnt comply will road laws in America (or UK)
The demand is outweighing the supply for all electric vehicles therefore your point is moot. Why dont they price their cars accordingly in line with other companies that have similar demand for their own electric cars in respect to what they can produce.
Like I said they dont mind taking orders for a machine they dont even have yet.

Well lets tackle your first point first. They have finalised the Cybertruck design, and have the factory in place to build it. The machines are going in as we speak, and is set to be released next year.
As for what will be released? I'm sure Tesla know what the requirements are and the truck satisfy them. I doubt it will look much different than what we have seen. But we will know soon enough. The truck will not be coming to the UK.

It is true demand for EV's is outstripping supply. Tesla are pricing their product accordingly. As are other makers. Of course other makers could raise their prices (some are) But then they have to justify that against the competition, namely Tesla.
Tesla don't mind taking orders. But then a Cybertruck reservation is only $100 and is fully refundable. So no big deal. But what it does do is confirm demand for the product. Actually a really smart move by Tesla.
As for saying something negative about Tesla, What is there to be negative about? They are executing brilliantly. You can point to certain products coming to market later than they said. But that is true of pretty much every auto manufacturer, so no difference there.

You dont think taking over 120m in pre orders for a truck that has not been designed or tested yet and flogging off some prototype as a reference for it and having foolish customers think that they are putting a deposit down for something they are not is misleading and not very nice?
