Very good manager, very bad career move
Fuming about TT but his would be the correct appointment imo.
More than earned his crack at the top. Fair play
Deserves a shot at it.
Cucurella might be feeling awkward
15 managers in 18 years, Potter is not a stupid man, surely he’s taken that into consideration?
I have no idea if he is the right man or not but the idea of hiring a promising young English manager is an exciting idea for me

Gone by Christmas.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then there will be only 5 Chelsea managers too Christmas.
Never managed one elite player really in his career. Never managed in the CL either.
He's a top young coach but I feel it's huge step up to a club that demands success.
Disaster written all over it

May well be but if we are that club that took a chance on a promising English manager and it works, I'll be delighted. And let's face it, if anyone is going to buck a trend it's us.

Seems a bizarre choice from a continuity perspective.
Top manager, no doubt for me; but if they’re hoping that he’ll bring the same kind of approach that he’s delivered at Brighton, he’s going to need a lot of work doing on the Chelsea squad. It’s completely unsuitable for Potterball.
He has no experience in managing big egos. At the top level it's more than coaching a system.

Villa, Everton, someone like that, both far bigger clubs than Brighton where I’m sure he’ll get more time to do things his way
Part of the deal will be to include Brighton’s league position as well
Potter deserves a bigger club but why does it have to be Chelsea? A promising career down the drain then.

True he should wait for all the other top clubs who are far more patient with their managers like Arsenal and Arsenal

Though he did turn down Spurs previously as is being reported on SSN at the moment.
Hope Potter turns Chelsea down. Trigger happy club full of plastic fans. What is the point for Potter if as soon as couple of results go against them, they sack the manager?!
