My optimistic early prediction is 0-1
Proper 6 pointer this one
City to win 3-0
Costa confirmed but unlikely to play for a few weeks by the sound of his own interview whilst he gets match fit
Looks like Costa has the #29 shirt, but whether he's fit enough for this game, remains to be seen. It wouldn't surprise me if we went with 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 and relied on catching them on the break. A tough game indeed and I'd take a point right now.
Apparently Costa has said it will take a few weeks for him to be fit to play, so I don't see him being in the squad til after the international break
Costa is well into his 30s and has only signed a one year deal so I can’t see the advantage of him taking weeks to be ready. Don’t see him as a starter for now but I think we’ll see him on the bench if not this week then very soon after
I definitely don't think he will start on Saturday and even if he did there is no way he would last for 90 minutes. We play West ham on October 1st which gives Costa 18 days to get some fitness back and get used to the players around him. I think he will start against West Ham with Jimenez replacing him in the second half.
I think you could potentially play both Costa and Jimenez. Jimenez doesn't actually spend that much time centrally these days, so you could play him as part of a front three with Neto or Guedes, and the full backs providing the width.
Bruno seems to want his wide forwards to play quite narrow and cut inside anyway. Jimenez has played left wing at other points in his career.
Seemed like Costa had his picture taken with everyone in Wolverhampton over the weekend, so good to see the official announcement today, do think getting actual live wolves in for the video was a bit OTT. I assumed at first it was a bit of digital trickery but according to his interview it was a very real and unsettling experience.
He was honest enough to admit that its going to take a few weeks to get up to speed and he wanted Lage to understand that before he signed. They'll have to manage that carefully or he could end up on the treatment table before he kicks a ball. At least he'd be able to keep Kalajdzic company.
Confirmation now that the Premier League will resume this weekend. All clubs will have to ensure that sufficient policing will be provided, which is normal for every game. That is not thought to be a problem for most games although with huge crowds expected to visit London this weekend it may be a problem for games scheduled for the capital
Spurs, Brentford and Chelsea all at home this weekend. Arsenal's Europa League game on Thursday is already postponed.
Think we'll see Costa on the bench on Saturday. Is Jimenez still unfit, by the way?
What's the speculation on Costa's salary? I rather hope he hasn't come in and smashed the highest salary at the club. Not his fault if he has, of course.
Wouldn't be surprised with a false nine set up against city. Going to be interesting to see how Kilman and Collins handle Haaland.

Place played with a back 5, with Kouyate man to man on Haaland. So you can chalk that one off as an approach for starters.
Actually not Place or Forrest but Forest
Wolves still in touch with Denayer who remains out of contract. Evidently the reason nobody has snapped him up on a free so far is that his wage demands are extortionate
Worth noting that the player himself has never admitted that though. 👍
Wolves will go into the World Cup break on the back of 3 home games in a week. We play Brighton on Saturday Nov 5th at 15:00, then Leeds in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday 8th at 19:45 followed by Arsenal on Saturday 12th which will be an unusual Saturday evening kick off at 19:45
Wolves have never gained much from VAR decisions and that’s continuing into this season. In a league table that ignores all decisions changed by VAR we would now be 10th

Yup, imagine not being honest enough to come out and admit in public that you're pricing yourself out of a job eh?
Bayern beat Barca again as they usually do. They’ve played 8 times now in the champions league and Bayern have won 7. In those 7 wins Bayern have scored 26 and conceded 4
