After Saturday I have zero faith that we can score a goal unless we get a penalty.
I'm afraid that Palace will have much more to offer than Forest so I see a defeat looming.
However I live in hope that Podence can miskick an effort on goal and somehow it ends up in the back of the net.
Unsubstantiated rumour that Sa is out for six weeks and Adama also injured after yesterday
Wouldn't be surprised about Sa. Saved a penalty with his left hand and also punched away a few balls with his right.
With three games on 8 days be interesting to see if our temp managers opt for some rotation. Collins will return to defence, no surprise if Semedo comes in, and it’s surely only a matter of time before Boubacar Traore gets a start. He has impressed every time he’s come off he bench and I think he could prove to be a real gem
I don’t understand why our manager/temp managers are reluctant to play some players ie boubacar who seems pretty good but default to the usual suspects.
Jonny has been poor yet gets selected ahead of Semedo and for me Moutinho has been average at best yet still gets selected.
Try something different.
Collins for Toti, Semedo for Jonny and Traore for Moutinho seem like the obvious changes to make for this one.
Yes Collins must come back in for definite. I'm still not sure about Bouba, he's looked good in his little cameos but how he would fair over 90 minutes Im not sure. Only one way to find out though with no cup games for a few weeks.
Gerard now a hot favourite to be the next PL manager to be sacked. He’s had a lot of money to spend and seems to have signed good players. But results aren’t improving and this weekend when Chelsea fans started singing ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’, the Villa fans joined in.
Hassentutl and Rodgers are next favourites and have to say I’d take Brendan ahead of most of the managers being linked with us
I don’t want Rodgers, I don’t rate him and his has been round the block a few times.
We need someone that’s hungry, I do like the QPR guy who would be fresh and eager.
Can't believe our club would be even looking at someone with only 15 games experience, as a first team coach. No need to rush and if Loppy is available later, then keep the two in charge for now.
Yeah i would rather just get these five games out the way at this stage with these guys if we have to wait a couple or months for say Lop or Gallardo.
Rather that than panicking and bringing back Nuno or risking Beale
Don’t know what’s not to rate about Rodgers. Twice finished 5th with Leicester, won the FA Cup, won the Community Shield. I’d settle for that
Yeah, no problem with Rodgers, he is clearly a good manager and he likes to attack. His situation at Leicester is no different to most managerial stints, it more often than not goes stale eventually.
With the popularity of shows like the masked singer and masked dancer; I think we should go for a masked head coach. We could unveil them at the end of the season at Molineux after a season of trying to guess who it is.
Would also allow us to change head coach without anyone knowing as an added bonus.
I've read more ridiculous suggestions Tam.
Latest name linked appears to be Peter Bosz, most latterly of Lyon, also Dortmund, Leverkusen and Ajax.
Let's wait for Wolfgang's in depth analysis of him.
Very spotty career for Bosz. A few decent spells but nothing sustained really.
Have a bad feeling we will just end up with Nuno coming back which would be a great shame and extremely disappointing.
Kinda feels like the coaches that are available to us are all pretty much of a muchness, all carry risks and no real stand out candidates.
Yeah, find it a real shame we are not just really pushing the boat out for some of these guys. We splash the cash in the summer but don't seem to be aiming high for a manager.
Some big names are out there. Emery, Poch, Tuchel, Gallardo.
Tuchel yeah alright, no real chance, next big job is likely his. But Poch doesn't have to be out of reach, he hasn't a prayer of the next big job with Tuchel available and has Poch ever actually been that impressive that big clubs are desperate to take him?
Of everybody I would go left field and get Gallardo. First job in Europe and would be a great stepping stone for a bigger job later if successful.
Came across a surprising Wolves stat this morning. Only Man City have had more shots at goal in away games in the Premier League this season
Diego Costa has played twice at Selhurst Park before. In those two games for Chelsea he scored on both occasions and Chelsea won both games
