One of those dumb VAR decisions where yes it technically was offside, but honestly who would've complained if it stood? It's dealing in fractions of millimetres.
The only people who'd have complained would've been fans of clubs who've been screwed by worse VAR decisions in the past, which kinda tells you what the real problem is.

This aspect of VAR I really don't like. It wasn't necessarily the case here, but it punishes intelligent movements and/or rewards poor defending because of technicalities. How is a player supposed to account for his fingers or toes being offside when he makes a run? It's f@ckin daft

It’s very easy to resolve as well - give VAR 1 minute to make a decision, if they can’t then the original decision stands. Better still, let a faaaacking computer decide if something is offside or not - that will likely be instant like goal line tech.

Anytime VAR rules out a goal it should be be because the officials have made a clear and obvious error.
By not putting a time limit on the decision making process and making the offside so forensic they are just asking for trouble.
In the days before VAR nobody would have even considered that Spurs late goal might be offside.

Kane was in an offside position.
The ball from Emerson deflected off a defender to Kane, but that deflection was judged to be "not deliberate".
Hence Kane was offside when he played the ball.
Its offside. Not even questionable.

Anytime VAR rules out a goal it should be be because the officials have made a clear and obvious error.
By not putting a time limit on the decision making process and making the offside so forensic they are just asking for trouble.
In the days before VAR nobody would have even considered that Spurs late goal might be offside.

Kane was in an offside position.
The ball from Emerson deflected off a defender to Kane, but that deflection was judged to be "not deliberate".
Hence Kane was offside when he played the ball.
