Great thread Chile 👏

They say that a point a game average normally keeps you up in this league. If we win one of the two up coming home games then we will have a point a game average since the last international break! So some sign of improvement over 8 games.

Win both and we are a point a game for the whole season! Which shows we not that far off a par score over 15 games.

The negative is of course if we lose both then we below the required rate and probably looking to a sensible Jan window to rescue things….

Thanks Bunk.

When I saw the fixtures come out I though that 10-15 points by the break would be about right.

Obviously 15 would be perfect and would represent an amazing achievement based on the amount of change at the club. New players, a new league for many and some of the performances must be soul destroying.

Touching distance is vital for our chances to stay up. Even if we don't, we have a season to get back up, without falling foul of FFP.

What this league shows is that without parachute payments the task of getting up / staying up gets harder every year. The system is a joke, but at least for once we will have it on our side.

We have suffered another long term injury after Biancone suffered a knee injury in training.

A for once, good article in the Nottingham Post about remaining fixtures.

*** Forest - 20th (9 points):

Brentford (H)
Palace (H)

Prediction - 4 Points (13)

*** Wolverhampton Wanderers - 19th (10 points):

Brighton and Hove Albion (H)
Arsenal (H)

Prediction - 0 Points (10)

*** Leicester City - 18th (11 points):

Everton (A)
West Ham United (A)

Prediction - 3 Points (14)

*** Southampton - 17th (12 points):

Newcastle United (H)
Liverpool (A)

Prediction - 1 Point (13)

*** Aston Villa - 16th (12 points):

Manchester United (H)
Brighton & Hove Albion (A)

Prediction - 0 Points (12)

*** Leeds United - 15th (12 points):

Bournemouth (H)
Tottenham (A)

Prediction - 3 Points (15)

Table by the WC:

Leeds - 15th - 15 points.
Leicester - 16th - 14 points.
Southampton - 17th - 13 points.
Forest - 18th - 13 points.
Villa - 19th - 12 points.
Wolves - 20th - 10 points.

Note* The prediction is mine!

We still have to go out and win at least one of our games and also get a draw, but out of the teams around us I would say that we have the best chance of at least not being bottom.

Southampton, Wolves and Villa all have arguably harder fixtures. The teams just above that, and slightly higher in the table, all play each other.

I think we have a great chance of not being bottom, an ok chance of staying within 3 points of 17th, and an outside chance of finishing out of the relegation zone.

Even if we keep our home form average of a point a game we'll still have 11 points.

According to tails Biancone is now out for the season.

At the present time the challenge of avoiding the drop seems to be a mighty big one. Our only hope is Cooper working his magic on those players who can stay fit and find some sort of form.

Lingard is increasingly looking like a waste of money that would have been better kept in the kitty for January?

It’s a shame on Biancone, feel for the lad!

Not sure we have a choice on Lingard other than not to extend the second year.

The loans for Lodi and I think Boly might be worth review in Jan.

Boly signed a 2 year deal Bunk.

We could have had 2 penalties, they could be down to 10 men, but Mariner puts his Brentford shirt on
