we're well off the required level but at least we actually gave teams in our group a game
imagine paying £180 quid to watch 3 teams train on your pitch, 8 shots on target, £22.50 a shot on goal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s gotta hurt 😂😂😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
scored more goals in front of our own fans than you did.

Like a compfort napkin. A compfort serviette.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
not at all just pointing out the hypocrisy of fans from a team slagging the lack of goals at home when their own stats are worse !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TBF he wasn’t slagging goals. He was slagging the number of shots.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
fair does ..... tbf celtic did manage 1 more shot on target per home than we did.
I feel bad for the bears on here, but for twitter fuds (and yes we have ours as well) not so much https://twitter.com/Br7do/status/1587565388711198723?t=NF8kY3e12KEU6I5jWRi6mg&s=19
Both of you suffer from lack of competition in the Scottish Premiership. When do you ever play against any sort of attacking quality? When do you ever need to be set up to defend? Maybe being put in your place will help shift your approach to the CL in future years.

Morelos was some miss last night, just as the sitter was at celtic Park last week which would have left you with 1 point.
Well done on winning the we played better and competed better cup in the champions league.
Fair play to mags at this time his points are valid that celtic are so so far ahead at the moment.
So far ahead you finished stone last in an easier group with 2 points.
If so far ahead of Rangers does the measly 2 points more cover that fact, couldn't beat shaktar etc.
Paint it whichever, scotlands top 2 teams may very likely have a total of 2 points between them, but hey ho celtic looked better

If you accept that Shaktar are no better/on a par with us based on our 2 games and an aggregate 2-2 score, but they have amassed 5/6 points in the group, then I'm coming round to Ange's belief we need continued exposure to elite level competition to improve.
As for Rangers.....well they're dug schite
cos from the outset it looks like the last time Dundee were in the championship they were one of the best teams in the championship. After a year of playing better attacks, the now find themselves as one of the worst teams in the championship.

did playing against better players and attackers benefit Dundee cos it looks like they have regressed?
before playing against better teams they were one of the best teams in the championship, after a year of playing against better teams they are now one of the worst teams in the championship.
so did playing at a higher level improve Dundee as a club or did they go backwards.
Battle hardened/street wise.. used to playing Champions League most years...able to go to Leipzig on Matchday 1 and mug them.... That's Shaktar and what we should aspire to imo..
Celtic and Rangers need to find a way of being effective in the CL whilst simultaneously being teams that are effective in their league. More focus is obviously put on building a team that is going to be dominant in the league and rightly so, but can't expect to do well in the CL with a team geared towards that.

irrelevant, the point is both rangers and celtic cannot compete agaisnt the better teams cos we dont play against good enough attacks week in week out. So that would suggest playing against better attacks will make the clubs better and improve their levels.
Well Dundee stepped up their level of competition and appear to have went backwards not forwards.
For me the difference has been that Celtic’s performances have been decent, but the results have been poor. Rangers performances have been abysmal, and the results embarrassing.
There’s more of a foundation to work from with Celtic than there is at rangers in relation to the players and management team, as well as the finances.
If any rangers fan wants to take solace in comparing the CL campaigns, then batter in. I can’t see it though.

the only way we become more effective at that level is by gaining an extra 40m a year from being in it.

Both teams have been found out as being not good enough for this level.
Rangers have found out that to even give these teams a game you need your best players out on the pitch.
Most teams would struggle to do well with ALL their first team CBS out injured and having to play two inexpereinced players (one a youth player CB the other a CM) teams like us will get skelped when they have no defenders fit.
